Lilith's pov

I switched through channels in annoyance. Disappointed in me? What about him? His whole life is a disappointment. Why does he always insist on defending him. It drives me insane!

My thoughts were cut off by Lucifer bursting through the door, tears streaming down his face.

"Lucifer what's going on" I approached him with worry. The others were looking equally as concerned.

"Lilith?" he looked up at me, his breathing was fast paced.

"Hey hey calm down" I bent down and rubbed his shoulders "I need you to breathe. Take a couple of deep breaths"

He nodded, breathing in time with me. Once he was calm I asked him again "what happened?"

"It's Adam!" He hiccuped.

"What did that asshole do this time" I growled.

"It's not his fault!" He snapped "eve owns his soul. I didn't know, I was just talking to her and I let it slip that he was working towards reabilatation here" he ran a trembling hand through his hair "eve forced him into her room a-and he came back in bruises" he cupped his mouth with a sicky expression "it's all my fault"

"No Luci I was the one giving him a hard time" I pulled him into my arms "to think I was taking the side of that bitch. It makes me sick" I felt an overwhelming amount of guilt. Out of everything I could have said why did I choose that?

Out of nowhere lute jumped over the bar and rushed out the door.

"Lute where are you going?" Lucifer turned to her in disbelief.

"I'm going to make sure he's ok" she yelled over her shoulder "man the bar for me"

"Take care of him girlie" I muttered as I led my shaken up husband back to the sofa.
