Adams pov
"Adam today's been amazing" Lucifer took my hands with a bright smile "you didn't drink or do drugs and you even showed kindness when you made us all breakfast. You're a natural at this!"
"I don't know if I'd say that" I looked away. What the fuck. Why's he saying all these nice things about me. I haven't even done anything.
"Yeah honey, it's only been a day. He has plenty of time to fuck it all up" Lilith gave me a wicked smirk. I growled. What is that bitches problem!
"Nope not him. I have full faith that he's going to pull through" he gave my hands a reassuring squeeze "Adam I am so insanely proud of you and I know you're going to continue to impress me"
"Sure just don't hold your breath. I still don't believe in your redemption bs" I turned away to hide my blushing face.
"Sure you don't" Lucifer smirked. I groaned as I walked away.
I leaned against the door as I watched Lucifer talk excitedly to his wife as she listened to him with a loving smile. I smiled softly. He has such faith in me. It gave me hope that everything might be ok.
A barrage of sparkly shit came out of my back. To my shock my wings had grown back!
"Ahhh!" I yelled.
"Addie what's wrong-" Lucifer stopped, his eyes glued to my wings.
"My wings just grew back" like a cruel joke once I said that they disappeared "fuck! Where'd they go!"
"Adam calm down" Lucifer said reassuringly "this is normal. An angel's wings when regrown typically only stay out when you're focusing really hard"
"Focus really hard. Got it" I nodded and put all my focus on my wings. When I looked back they were still gone "fuck!"
"It takes some time to figure it out" Lucifer smiled kindly "I wonder how your wings grew back though. Normally an angel's wings can only grow back after feeling a newfound surge of hope-" he let out a loud gasp of realisation.
"No luc it's not what it looks like-"
"I knew it!" He picked me up and spun me around "you do believe in our cause. Oh I'm so happy right now!" He looked up at me with happy tears.
I let out a loud groan. This is humiliating! How am I going to keep my bad boy rep now!
