Lucifer's pov

"Mr morningstar what was it like fighting all those angels?"

"Did you use your ally vox as a meatsheild to take out Michael?"

"Do you plan to bring an uprising against heaven"

"Mr morningstar-" I slammed the door in their faces, breathless from all the questioning. The first time my hotel gets any attention and they miss the entire point. I looked over at everyone's expecting faces. Ok Lucifer, time to be inspirational!

"Ok everyone this is a new start for us all. New hotel, new ally's" I gestured over to angel.

"Well after seeing that kid vox sacrifice himself for others I figured I could maybe give something to you too" angel shrugged.

"It's so awesome to have you here dude" Adam pulled him into a headlock "your cool giving up crack right?"

"I have to do what!?"

"And chances for new memories" I said quickly "I'm so proud of each and every one of you. You are all fighters and I have every faith that you'll all get into heaven"

"Haha as hilarious as always your highness" alastor slapped me on the back.

"I'm not joking-" I was cut off by a knock on the door "great, those reporters sure are persistent" I swung the door open "please leave us alone this is harrasment-" I paused. Standing there was none other than cain himself "that's not a reporter"

"Hey" he rubbed his arm nervously "I heard my dad was here"

"Cain?" Adam stood there in disbelief.

"Dad" he started to tear up "I-" he was cut off by Adam pulling me into a bear hug.

"I finally get to see you again" he held him, his body shaking with tears "I thought you wanted nothing to do with me"

"No I didn't even know you were here" he protested "I'm so sorry dad. I didn't know what she was doing to you-"

"Shh it's ok" he gave him a reassuring smile "I'm just glad you're here"

I wiped away a stray tears. As a fellow father I was so happy the two were reunited.

"How about I make you two a drink" lute patted Adams arm.

"Sounds good lute" he smiled dreamily at her "what do you say kid? Wanna have a drink with your old man?"

"That sounds nice but I was actually wondering if I can I stay here. I kinda quit my job" he scratched his head in embarrassment.

"Of course you can" Adam said excitedly "we have a bunch of space now that we've rebuilt the hotel. Come on, I'll help you choose a room!" With that he dragged him off.

Adams pov

"Okay so what are thinking? You're one of our newer clients so you get to pick any room you want"

"Hmm" he looked around thoughtfully "can I have a room next to yours?"

"Aw of course buddy" I ruffled his hair "sorry. I shouldn't be treating you like a little kid. You're a man now" I smiled at him proudly.

"Some man" he scoffed.

"Hey don't put yourself down like that" I said sternly "sure you fucked up-"

"Dad I killed able on his wedding day out of jelousy" he looked away "I ruined such a special day. It's no wonder you disowned me"

"I shouldn't have done that" I took his hands "you've suffered long enough kiddo. Let's start all over again"

He pulled away "Cain?"

"Why'd you give up paradise for me" he clutched his chest "your life has been a living hell ever since. So why!"

"Because I couldn't stand the thought of being apart from my family" he gasped at my answer. I smiled as I gently wiped my tears away "do you remember when you were a kid and you'd curl up in your room, crying about how mommy hated you and wished you were more like able. Do you remember what I told you?"

"That I was a bad kid" he muttered.

"But you were my bad kid" I patted his head "you don't need to be anyone but yourself"

He chuckled lightly as he lay against my chest "I missed you dad"

"I missed you too kid" he held him close, never wanting to let him go again.
