I told you to run that maybe just maybe this town is holding you down. The pain I'll feel if you leave is not nearly equivalent to the pain you'll feel if you stay. This town has never been more than a pitstop on your journey and you know that you've known that. Leave me leave all your high school friends by the creek leave your parents in that house that was built by your great grandparents. Just leave don't tell me where you're going get in your car and drive until you find a town that no longer has a grey cloud over it. To a town where the air your breathing doesn't feel like smoke, get the dog you've always wanted. Change your number. Become better. We will miss you and you'll have no clue. But I'll have a peace of mind knowing breathing isn't causing you to choke anymore, knowing you'll find a new creek for your future kids to swim in. I know you'll be happy doing mundane tasks like cutting grass. I hope you find somewhere that you can enjoy simple tasks somewhere where you're able to hear the birds sing. Somewhere where you're able to sit in your backyard and eat grapes and just write about your day.
