After meeting back up with Steve and Nat, they go over the well put together plan.
Waving a pointer laser from a rooftop at Jasper Sitwell, Indigo chuckles to herself. "A little to the left, Indie." she hears Nat say as she looks through binoculars at the target.
"Okay, all clear," Nat says, putting them down. "Now we just wait for the boys to get here".
With a mischievous grin, Indigo turns the laser off and fixes her gaze on Nat, unable to resist the urge to tease. "So, what's up with you and Steve? And don't lie, I can always tell when you lie."
Nat's eyes widen slightly, a hint of surprise flashing across her features before she schools her expression into one of casual indifference. But Indigo knows Nat too well—there's a flicker of something in her eyes, a telltale sign that there's more to the story than she's letting on.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Indie" Nat says with a smirk.
"Oh, come on Nat. I see the way you look at each other, there is totally something going on weather you know it or not." Indigo presses.
"Ok, ok, honestly I have no idea. Steve just keeps giving me these looks, and I don't know what to make of it," she admits, a note of uncertainty creeping into her voice. "It's like trying to decipher Morse code with only half the dots and dashes."
"Well, as Steve best friend I can tell you that he is into you. I've never seen him look that way at anyone." Indigo offers, a reassuring smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Nat's eyes widen in surprise, a flicker of hope crossing her features before she quickly masks it with a neutral expression. "I though we were best friends?" she says with a smirks.
"What no," Indigo says quickly with a smile, "we're sisters." She look up at Nat knowing she's trying to change the subject.
"So, what are you going to do about Steve?" Indigo asks, curiosity getting the better of her.
Nat shrugs, a hint of resignation in her expression. "I guess I'll just have to wait and see," she replies. "Who knows? Maybe one day he'll work up the courage to actually say something."
Just as she finishes her sentence, Sitwell comes flying out of the roof door. Welp time to get to work Indigo thinks to herself as Steve comes following behind him.
"Tell me about Zola's algorithm." Steve yells at him.
Sitwell quickly gets up, putting his glasses back on, "Never heard of it." he says to Steve.
"What were you doing on the Lemurian Star?" Steve questions him.
Nat and Indigo stand behind Steve while they watch the situation unfold. When Steve gets all Captain America-y he's hot Indigo thinks to herself, as they continue walking towards the ledge of the building.
"I was throwing up, I get seasick." Sitwell says with a gasp realizing how close he is to fall off the ledge of the roof. As he starts to stumble off, Steve grabs his suit jacket.
Sitwell smiles at Steve and says, "Is this little display meant to insinuate that you're gonna throw me off the roof? Because it's really not your style, Rogers."
"You're right. It's not. It's hers." Steve says, stepping aside letting Nat kick him off of the roof. He plummets off the roof, screaming as he falls to his death.
"I still don't think it's fair Nat got to kick him off the roof, I wanted to do it" Indigo pouts as they stand on the rooftop waiting.
"Natasha won the coin toss, Indigo, sorry" Steve replies.
They hear Sitwell's screaming get closer as a rush of air shoots past them. Sam drops Sitwell in front of them and lands behind the group. He has his Falcon wings and glasses on.
He looks very cool Indigo thinks to herself but she doesn't want to up his ego more than it already is. "Wow, Sammy, you look extra nerd with those glasses on." Indigo says with a chuckle.
They walk over to where Sitwell is laying still gasping for air from the fall. "Zola's algorithm is a program...for choosing Insight's targets!" he yells, trying to get Steve to stop messing with him.
"What targets?" Indigo questions with a confused looks.
"You! A TV anchor in Cairo, the Undersecretary of Defense, a high school valedictorian in Iowa city. Bruce Banner, Stephen Strange, anyone who's a threat to HYDRA! Now, or in the future." he says loudly still on his hands and knees waving his arms around to make a point.
Indigo quickly looks at Steve, "The Future? How could it know?" Steve asks.
Sitwell lets out a calculating laugh, before replying "How could it not? The 21st century is a digital book. Zola taught HYDRA how to read it. Your bank records, medical histories, voting patterns, e-mails, phone calls, your damn SAT scores. Zola's algorithm evaluates people's past to predict their future."
Indigo looks at Steve and Nat with confusion in her mind. First of all, that's creepy as fuck. Second of all, what the fuck is up with Hydra she thinks to herself.
"And what then?" Steve asks Sitwell as he stands up.
"Oh, my God. Pierce is gonna kill me." Sitwell whines. Sam grabs onto the back of his suit, prompting him to answer the question.
I'm going to kill you if you don't answer the damn question, Indigo thinks to herself.
Steve is just as impatient as her, he yells "What then?!" at Sitwell.
"Then the Insight Helicarriers scratch people off the list. A few million at a time." Sitwell says with a straight face.
Indigo grabs onto Nat's shoulder, feeling uneasy with Sitwell's answer. Steve looks at them and nods, grabbing onto Sitwell ushering him out the rooftop door and down the stairs. Nat and Indigo follow them, heading back towards the car they brought Sitwell in. They all pile in the small car.
Sam drives, Steve in the passenger seat, and Nat and Indigo on either side of Sitwell. They race down the road onto the highway heading to Triskelion, S.H.I.E.L.D. Head Quarters. Indigo can see Sitwell's sweat roll down his face, as she puts her head against the window. She feels the migraine coming back already.
