Indigo slowly open her eyes, trying to take in her surroundings. She sees Nat and Sam sitting in front of her, their expressions tense and concerned. Steve is to her left, his voice a steady communication as he speaks to Sam, his gaze flickering over to check on Indigo every so often. There are two guards in black sitting at the front; their helmets make it impossible to see who they're looking at.
When Indigo looked down, she noticed her hands are restrained by metal cuffs, the cold steel biting into her skin. Indigo feels her neck tense up with pain from the sudden movement, and she lets out a stifled groan as she leans her head against Steve's shoulder, seeking some semblance of comfort amidst the chaos. Indigo looks over at Nat, who looks worse than she does. Her skin is pale and clammy, a stark contrast to her usual vibrant demeanor. Her eyes are staring right at Indigo, but they're clouded with pain and exhaustion.
"Hey, there, pretty lady," Sam says, his voice laced with a hint of humor as he looks at Indigo. "I thought I was gonna have to get another girlfriend for a moment."
Indigo opens her mouth to speak, but only a croaking whisper emerges. "In your dreams," she manages to rasp, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of her lips.
"We need to get a doctor here. We don't put pressure on those wounds they're gonna bleed out here in the truck." Sam says urgently, his concern evident in his tone as he addresses the guards.
All of a sudden, one of the guards pulls out a rod and shoves it in Sam's face. In a swift motion, he flips the rod around and delivers a powerful electric shock to the guard next to him, the crackling energy surging through the air. With lightning speed, the assailant follows up his electrifying move with a powerful kick aimed at the unsuspecting guard, his boot connecting with precision and sending the guard sprawling to the floor, unconscious before he even hits the ground.
Sitting in shock, Indigo stares at the guard who just became her new hero. He quickly takes off his helmet saying "Ah. That thing was squeezing my brain."
Indigo sees brown hair falling around the guard's face and she realize who it is, fucking the one and only Maria Hill.
She looks at Sam sitting who is in front of her, a puzzled expression furrowing Hill's brow. "Who's this guy?" she says, casting a questioning glance in Sam's direction. Indigo let out a chuckle know she just saved their asses from Rumlow and his men.
Indigo feels the truck come to a halt at a traffic light, the sudden cessation of movement jolting her from her thoughts. Without hesitation, Hill springs into action, pulling out a laser and swiftly cutting a hole into the bottom of the floor. The faint smell of burning metal fills the air as she works with practiced precision, carving through the obstacles in our path.
One by one, they descend into the darkness below. Sam goes first, disappearing into the shadows of the sewer with a determined resolve. Nat follows suit, her movements fluid and graceful despite the bullet hole in her shoulder. Hill and Indigo follow, the cool air of the sewer enveloping them as they make their descent.
