The ride to S.H.I.E.L.D. was fraught with tension, the weight of grief and unanswered questions hanging heavy in the air. With each passing mile, the silence between them seemed to deepen, punctuated only by the occasional whispered exchange or the low hum of the vehicle's engine. As the skyline of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters loomed into view, a sense of foreboding settled over them, their minds bracing for the challenges that awaited within its walls.

Once they got to S.H.I.E.L.D. Steve and Indigo parted ways to change into their gear.

Indigo stood in front of her locker, looking at her suit, wondering how she ever got it to fit on her body. It felt like a lifetime ago since she first got the uniform, a symbol of duty and responsibility that now seemed almost foreign to her. As Indigo reached out to touch the fabric, memories flooded her mind, reminding her of the countless battles fought and victories won in its embrace.

The main body of the suit retains the sleek, form-fitting silhouette, crafted from a high-tech, black fabric. However, instead of the usual black widow emblem, the accents and detailing feature a subtle shade of deep green.

The jacket features a high collar and fitted shoulders, with sleek lines running down the sleeves and torso, while the pants taper elegantly down to sturdy black boots. The green accents are strategically placed along the seams, cuffs, and waistline, providing a subtle contrast to the dominant black hue.

The utility belt, typically black, now incorporates hints of green in its design, with sleek compartments for storing essential gadgets and tools. Additionally, the gloves feature subtle green detailing along the knuckles, enhancing both functionality and style.

Tony felt the need to add the hints of green around her suit, seeing as it's her favorite color and her last name is Evergreen. It was his way of personalizing the ensemble, infusing it with a touch of her identity and making it uniquely hers.

As Indigo walked out of the locker room, lost in thought, she collided with Captain America, nearly stumbling backward from the impact. Surprised, she looked up to meet his gaze, finding herself momentarily speechless in the presence of such a legendary figure, who somehow became one of her closest friends.

"Indigo! Are you ok?" Steve asked, his voice filled with genuine concern as he reached out a hand to steady her. Caught off guard by the collision and Steve's immediate response, she couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth at the sincerity of his question.

"I'm fine, Cap," Indigo replied with a reassuring smile, grateful for his presence and the concern he showed.

"Also, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Indie? We've known each other for years, Stevey," she says with a playful grin, gently nudging him in the arm. As she looks down, finally taking in his uniform, she can't help but admire the iconic stars and stripes, a symbol of hope and inspiration to so many. "You do have America's Ass," she whispered under her breath, unable to contain a hint of playful jealousy.
