***Beware***

Indigo lifts her head from Bucky's chest, her gaze meeting his tear-stained face. With a heavy heart, she retrieves her phone from her pocket, her fingers trembling as she unlocks the screen to read the message from Nat. Her heart sinks as she absorbs the words, learning that Nat will be staying on Steve's floor tonight.

Indigo rises to her feet, brushing off her clothes as she casts a final glance at Bucky, her expression guarded. "You can stay on the couch tonight, but you have to be gone before morning," she asserts, her voice tinged with a mixture of resignation and determination. With those words hanging in the air, she strides purposefully towards the door.

Quickly swinging it open, she steps into the hallway, her footsteps echoing through the empty corridors as she makes her way to the kitchen, leaving Bucky behind in the confines of her room, their unresolved emotions lingering like a heavy cloud.

As Indigo retrieves the bottle of wine from the fridge and a glass from the cabinet, she turns to set them down on the counter, intending to pour herself a much-needed drink. However, as she turns, her gaze falls upon Bucky, seated at the bar, his eyes fixed on her with a mixture of apprehension and longing.

Indigo's voice carries a hint of resignation as she speaks, her words tinged with a touch of humor to mask the underlying tension. "I'd offer you a glass, but I'm about to sit here and drink the whole bottle myself," she quips, a shrug punctuating her statement.

She opens the drawer next to her and grabs the corkscrew. Indigo's frustration mounts as she struggles with the corkscrew, her efforts to extract the cork proving futile. However, as she grapples with the stubborn cork, she notices Bucky's outstretched hand, silently offering his assistance. With a reluctant sigh, she relinquishes the bottle to him, watching as he effortlessly removes the cork with ease.

Returning the now uncorked bottle to Indigo, Bucky's gaze meets hers, their eyes locking in a moment of unspoken understanding. She takes the bottle from his hands and looks at the glass sitting in front of her.

With a determined resolve, Indigo foregoes the glass and raises the bottle to her lips, taking a long, unapologetic gulp of the rich, tangy liquid. Setting the bottle down on the counter with a thud, she meets Bucky's intense gaze, his eyes fixed on her with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

Indigo shakes her head, a mixture of frustration and disbelief evident in her expression, before finally breaking the silence with a pointed question. "How did you get in here?"

Bucky meets her gaze unwaveringly, his response delivered with a calm confidence. "I'm a trained assassin, Indie. I can get into any place I want, whenever I want," he replies, his tone matter-of-fact as he maintains eye contact with her.

"Huh, okay," Indigo responds with a hint of skepticism, taking another swig from the bottle as she contemplates Bucky's explanation. "Where'd you find my gun?" she asks, her curiosity piqued.

Bucky's gaze softens momentarily as he recalls their encounter on the bridge. "Well, after we met on the bridge," he begins, a note of regret lacing his words, "I stashed it. I went back to get it before I came here."

"Ok," Indigo says, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions swirling within her. She observes Bucky closely, searching for any hint of his true feelings, but his expression remains inscrutable.

"Why'd you sleep with me?" she asks, her voice betraying the vulnerability she feels. She watches intently for his reaction, her heart pounding in anticipation.

Bucky's breath catches in his throat, caught off guard by her direct question. "I, uh..." he stutters, his words trailing off as he grapples with how to respond.

Indigo takes another sip from the bottle, her resolve firm as she interrupts Bucky's attempt to answer. Holding up a hand to halt his words, she meets his gaze squarely.

"Wait. I'll answer this one," she asserts, her voice tinged with a mix of candor and defiance. "You slept with me because you were sad and lonely, and you haven't hooked up with anyone in... what is it? Eighty years?" she states bluntly, her words laced with a hint of sarcasm.

Bucky's shock is palpable as he processes Indigo's assessment. "What? No. That's not it at all," he insists, his voice carrying a note of protest.

Indigo's gaze remains fixed on Bucky, her expression softening as she waits for his response. When he finally speaks, his words hang heavy in the air, carrying a weight of uncertainty.

"I did it because... because... because I love you?" Bucky's admission hangs in the silence between them, his voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty as he meets Indigo's eyes with a searching look.

Indigo's tone carries a warning as she issues her threat. "Oh, strike one James. Two more and I slit your throat." she quips, a glint of mischief dancing in her eyes.

Bucky responds with a wicked smile, his gaze meeting Indigo's with a mix of boldness and admiration. "I slept with you because you showing up on my door step. Yelling at me. Was hot. You look beautiful when you're angry and I couldn't stop myself from touching you. Tasting you." he adds, his words sincere.

As Indigo reaches for the bottle, her attempt to hide her shock is betrayed by the subtle flicker of emotion in her eyes. Before she can take a sip, however, Bucky swiftly intervenes, snatching the bottle from her grasp with a deft movement. Rising from his seat, he crosses the distance between them, his steps purposeful as he approaches her.

"James, back up," Indigo commands, her voice firm as she raises her hands defensively. With measured steps, she retreats until she feels the cool surface of the counter against her back, her senses heightened in anticipation of Bucky's next move.

As Bucky advances, a shadow falls over his features, his eyes darkening with intensity. Ignoring Indigo's plea to back off, he closes the distance between them, his movements deliberate and purposeful. With a determined air, he corners her against the counter, his hands planted firmly on either side of her, effectively trapping her in place. Indigo looks down as Bucky places a leg between hers, feeling his clothed thigh rub against her core.

Indigo's heart quickens with a mix of apprehension and defiance as she finds herself pinned against the hard surface, her breath catching in her throat as she meets Bucky's gaze with a steely resolve.

Feeling Bucky's proximity, Indigo's instincts kick in, and she swiftly places her hands on his chest, applying gentle pressure to halt his advance. "James..." Indigo lets out a small moan as he continues to rub his thigh against her. "Stop, please." She tries to push him away but he leans down. Indigo can feel his breath on her neck, sending shivers down her spine. She tilts her neck, giving him access to more skin.

Bucky lets out a chuckle and whispers into her ear, "I won't touch you or kiss you, Indigo. You'll come crawling to me, begging me to make you cum with my mouth."

Indigo's body trembles slightly as Bucky pulls away, creating a sudden and jarring distance between them. She watches in disbelief as he walks back to the bar and resumes his seat, his demeanor unaffected as if nothing had transpired between them.

Feeling a mixture of frustration and confusion swirling within her, Indigo releases a frustrated sigh, her mind reeling with conflicting emotions. She chastises herself for allowing Bucky to have such power over her, cursing her own vulnerability in the face of his enigmatic presence.

Indigo shakes her head trying to get control of herself. Well two can play this game, Indigo thinks to herself. She lifts her head to stare into his dark eyes, she gives him a wicked smirk.
