Indigo could feel their eyes on her, burning into her like unspoken questions. She had been staring at the ground ever since they threw her into the back of the car alongside Steve, Sam, and T'Challa.

Her mind raced with worry for Bucky. She had lost sight of him when they forcibly separated them, hustling her into an ambulance, where they quickly bandaged her side before transferring her to this vehicle.

They had stopped at a hotel, finally allowing them to swap out of their formal attire. Indigo was handed a pair of jeans and a jacket to change into. She sighed with relief as she shed her suit, feeling the tension ease with each piece she removed. However, her brief moment of comfort was interrupted when an agent promptly collected her suit and weapons.

Now they were back in the SUV, Indigo looked up slowly, meeting Steve's intense gaze. His eyes bore into hers, demanding answers she wasn't sure she could give. She couldn't bear to hold his gaze for long, so she looked away quickly.

"Did you know where he was?" Steve asked, his voice firm yet tinged with concern. The weight of his question hung heavy in the air, making her feel exposed and vulnerable.

Indigo ignored Steve's question, her mind consumed by thoughts of Bucky. She didn't want to answer him; all she wanted was to ensure Bucky was safe.

"So, you like cats?" Sam interjected, his voice breaking the tense silence and shifting the conversation abruptly.

Indigo's mind became a distant echo of voices as she focused solely on Bucky. Her James—she needed him more than anything right now. The urgency gnawed at her, each passing moment intensifying her worry. She recalled the chaos of the moments before they were separated, the blur of movement, the screech of sirens, and the firm grip that had torn her away from him.

She replayed the scene in her mind: Bucky's eyes, locked onto hers with that familiar intensity, before they were torn apart by the chaos of the emergency responders. Indigo could still feel his hand slipping away from hers, the panic rising as they dragged her into the ambulance and patched her up.

Her thoughts raced, imagining all the worst scenarios—what if he was hurt worse than she was? What if he was in danger right now, alone and needing her? The ache in her chest grew with every heartbeat, a constant reminder of how much Bucky meant to her. They had been through so much together, and she couldn't bear the thought of losing him now.

Indigo clenched her fists, trying to push aside the fear and focus on the faint hope that Bucky was safe. She needed to see him, to touch him, to know that he was okay. Nothing else mattered in that moment—not the questions from Steve, not the small talk from Sam and T'Challa. Her entire world had narrowed down to one person, and she would do whatever it took to find him again.

Indigo snapped out of her thoughts when Sam took her hand and guided her out of the car. Glancing around quickly, she realized they were inside a vast building.
