"For the past four years, you've operated with unlimited power and no supervision." Secretary Ross declared.

Indigo sat quietly at the back of the table next to Steve, her eyes drawn to Tony the moment he entered. She sensed immediately that something was amiss with him.

He quickly brushed off her questions and took his seat. Indigo had been wondering why the team was summoned to the conference room, but now she had a sinking feeling that Ross had something up his sleeve.

"That's an arrangement the governments of the world can no longer tolerate. But I think we have a solution." Ross declared, pulling Indigo from her thoughts. She watched intently as he slid a thick book across the table towards Wanda.

"The Sokovia Accords. Approved by 117 countries . . . it states that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they'll operate under the supervision of a United Nations panel, only when and if that panel deems it necessary." Ross explained, his voice carrying the weight of authority and expectation.

Every alarm in Indigo's body went off. She couldn't let this happen; she refused to be controlled by another power-hungry man. After breaking free from the Red Room's control, she had vowed never to allow herself to be manipulated again.

"The Avengers were formed to make the world a safer place. I feel we've done that." Steve says proudly, Indigo nodded her head in agreement.

"Tell me, Captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are right now?" Ross responded, his tone laced with an edge of authority.

After a tense pause, Ross continued, his tone grave. "If I misplaced a couple of 30 megaton nukes . . . you can bet there'd be consequences. Compromise. Reassurance. That's how the world works. Believe me, this is the middle ground."

"So, there are contingencies," Rhodey remarked, his voice reflecting a mix of resignation and concern.

"Three days from now, the UN meets in Vienna to ratify the Accords," Ross announced.

Indigo glanced up and caught Tony's forgiving gaze. Without waiting for the team to conclude the conversation, she stood up abruptly and stormed out of the room.

She hadn't realized Tony had followed her until she paused in the common room and turned to find him standing there.

"Did you know?" she questioned him, her voice tinged with a mix of disappointment and urgency.

"I did," Tony replied softly, his gaze dropping to the floor.

"You know I can't sign that. I can't give someone control over me... not again," Indigo said, her voice breaking with emotion.

"Willow, it's not like that—" Tony began, his tone pleading for understanding.

Indigo quickly cut him off. "Oh, so there won't constantly be someone telling me who I can and cannot save? Always watching my every move? Controlling me?" Her words were sharp with frustration and defiance.
