The flight to Vienna had been brief, but for Indigo, it felt interminable. She had spent half the journey locked in the airplane bathroom, desperately trying to contact Bucky.
"Tuesday," she muttered under her breath as she paced the narrow space. "He'd be at the farmer's market by now."
Indigo knew Bucky's routine well enough. On Tuesdays, they always made a point of visiting the local farmer's market. The thought gnawed at her as she wrestled with the knowledge that he likely left his phone behind at the apartment. It meant there was no way for her to reach him, no way to let him know what was happening.
She had left countless voicemails and sent numerous texts, urging him to go into hiding. Each message was a plea for him to disappear until they could figure out what was happening.
The urgency of the situation weighed heavily on her. She knew Bucky was innocent; he couldn't have done what they were accusing him of. But the evidence seemed damning, and with each passing moment, the stakes grew higher. She needed to find a way to reach him, to ensure he stayed hidden until they could uncover the truth.
She heard a knock on the door, "Hey, um, Indie, we're here," Sam's voice came from the other side.
Indigo hastily turned off the water and took a moment to compose herself, checking her reflection in the mirror. Her breathing still rapid with anxiety, she steadied herself before opening the door.

It was a brief drive to the UN building. Sharon headed off to work upon arrival, leaving Steve, Sam, and Indigo to blend into the background at an outdoor restaurant nearby.
Steve excused himself and swiftly made his way towards the entrance, intent on locating Natasha amidst the bustling crowd. Meanwhile, Sam settled into their spot and ordered some food, attempting to maintain a casual air despite the gravity of the situation.
"So, what's up with you?" Sam asked, his mouth half full as he shoveled food in.
Indigo glanced around nervously before replying, "I don't know what you mean."
The chaotic scene unfolded before Indigo's eyes, a flurry of flashing lights and sirens cutting through the evening air. Ambulances and police cars swarmed the area, their presence a stark reminder of the unfolding crisis. People dashed about, their faces etched with fear and confusion. The magnitude of it all made Indigo's stomach churn, knowing that amidst the chaos, many believed Bucky Barnes was responsible.
She clenched her fists, feeling a surge of frustration and helplessness. It was unfathomable to her that anyone could think Bucky, her James, could commit such a heinous act.
"You've been quieter than usual," Sam observed, his tone gentle yet probing. "Something's bothering you. I can tell."
Indigo hesitated, grappling with the urge to confide in Sam while maintaining her resolve to keep Bucky's situation confidential. "It's just... everything that's happening," she admitted vaguely, her words carefully chosen. "It's a lot to process."
