Oz's POV
"You need to talk to her more often, honey," Oz's mother said to him as he handed the plate of empanadas to her. He was sure he knew whom she was talking about. It's no secret Oz used to be a jerk to Rio. But his mother's words excited him. Now he had an excuse to talk to her. He could say his mom was making him.
No, he thought. That'd turn out badly.
Nonchalantly, acting calm and collected, he asked, "Who?"
Violet de la Vega rolled her eyes. "You know who I'm talking about, Oscar," she said. "Silvana is really worried about Rio. She doesn't have any friends. All she does is sit in her room all day and draw. Please, Oz, be nice to her. If you won't do it for Silvana, do it for me."
Oz tried to hide his excitement when he said, "Yeah. Sure, Mom. Whatever you say."
"I love you, son," she said, gazing at him with the strong and steady stare of a Luna. "Remember that."
Oz nodded. "I love you too, Mom."
"Now go away and let me eat these in peace," Violet said, turning her attention to the plate in front of her. Oz walked out of the room feeling confused. He'd known Rio all his life, though they weren't as close as he'd like. Oz wandered to his room and lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
He knew something was up the second his mom said Rio didn't have friends. She was the socialist butterfly he'd ever seen. She wanders around the cliques, chatting with everyone. She had never been shy, unless it was around the pack, then she'd get nervous and try to leave as soon as possible.
Oz sighed and rolled over. He closed his eyes and tried to think of anything else but Rio. In seven months, he would be turning nineteen, the coming of age when the next Alpha comes into power. Oz's father had been training him since he was born. He was ready to be the de la Vega pack's next Alpha. Once he had been initiated, he only had one year to find a mate suitable for the task of becoming Luna de la Vega.
He'd meet female Were's from all over the world and see if they have that special de la Vega magic. Then on his twentieth birthday, he would mate with his chosen one, sealing the bond for life. He didn't have much time to settle down and raise a whole horde of wolves, but he'd figure it out.
How'd you like Violet? I'm not sure which celebrity she should be though. Have any ideas?
Oz's future plans are boss though, right? I mean, 'a whole horde of wolves'? What? Crazy! But srsly? Who wouldn't have a whole horde of kids with Taylor Lautner?

Bye loves!
