Rio's POV

Living with a pack of werewolves was starting to get old. Rio had no idea what she was getting into when she agreed to marry Oz. Marrying Oz meant she had to be stern and caring at the same time. Marrying Oz meant she needed to be the woman everyone looks to when Oz is out of line, out of town, or out of mind. She had to learn the rules of being a great Luna. And she had to learn fast.

Oz had Alice Grace, Millie Stanford, Kay Harris, and Natalie Kimball teach Rio everything there was to know. It was making her head hurt. She was still human after all. Sort of.

Every now and then, Malachi would visit Rio to check up on her. Sometimes, when Oz and all the rest of the pack was annoying her, Rio just hoped she could get her mission over with already so she could go home. Then she would remember Oz and how sweet he was with her. She would remember the times he left a single rose outside her bedroom door before he left to help around the pack cul-de-sacs.

"Rio?" Millie Stanford asked, waving her hand in front of her face. "Are you listening to anything I'm saying?"

"Huh?" Rio replied, shaking her head and blinking at the girls. "What did you say?"

Kay Harris sighed and leaned back in her chair. "Forget it. She's not listening. She's never going to learn."

"Kay, be nice," Natalie Kimball chided. "She's just thinking."

"Sorry," said Rio. "What were you saying, Millie?"

Kay rolled her eyes. "She's telling you that you need to listen."

"No. I was explaining the different races of Were's," Millie cut in. That got Rio's attention.

"Different races?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

"Werewolves aren't the only things out there, you know," Kay said. "There's bears and tigers and huge a-"

"Kay!" Natalie hissed.

"Sorry. And boars. Like, pigs, but meaner," continued Kay.

Something about the new information pricked at Rio's brain, like she already knew it. She nodded. "It sounds familiar."

Kay rolled her eyes again, sighing. "It's because she's an angel," she grumbled. "She knows it already. She practically created us."

"Uh.... That's not true. I was just one of the first things created. I had nothing to do with werewolves, were-bears, were-tigers, or were-boars," Rio said, wiggling her finger at the rude girl.

Rio knew she shouldn't, but she couldn't help what came out of her mouth next. "And I'm way more powerful than you could ever know."

A wide eyed werewolf stared back at her, speechless. Rio had to stay still and silent for a few moments before bursting with laughter.

"I'm just kidding! I'm totally kidding, Kay," laughed Rio. Kay relaxed a little, but Rio could tell she wasn't sure whether Rio was serious or not.

Rio sobered and said, "But I'm serious when I say, you want me on your side. You don't want me to be against you. Or you will lose horribly."

OKay. I have no excuse for being extremely late.

The only thing I can think of is that I was in a minor car accident with my sister about ten days ago, and it's really messed me up.

My plan for the next chapter is the wedding, but plans change.

Bye Loves.
