Rio's POV
"What does Andre have to do with this?" Oz growled, taking another step away from his mate. Anger followed him like a cloud. Rio flinched at the tone he was using, but didn't move away from the man she loved.
"He has everything to do with it," she replied. "I don't know the whole story, but I know enough. I know Andre told my kidnappers when I would be home by myself. And I know he was the one who took my children. I watched him take my babies and leave the room with them in his arms."
Throughout her whole speech, Oz's face was a mask of rage mixed with the toxic thought of revenge. Oz's arms tightened around Rio as he begun leading her to the two black SUV's the pack owned.
Alice Grace fell into step beside her friend and held her free hand. At the moment, Alice Grace needed reassurance that her best friend was alive and breathing.
"I'm okay, Alice Grace," Rio whispered to her friend. Then, using her angelic mind powers, she pushed the thought into Alice Grace's mind: We will survive this. We all will.
Alice Grace snorted out loud, earning her a few strange looks from the rest of the rescue group. Rio squeezed her cousin-in-law's fingers in thanks.
I missed you, Rio thought to Alice Grace.
"I missed you too, Rio," she quietly replied. And I want to hear all about my baby cousins! ...When you feel like telling me, that is...
Rio didn't reply. A silent tear slid its way down her cheek.
Vincent opened the car door for Rio, and Oz helped her into the SUV, as she was fragile and looked like she was malnourished.
"Take me home," Rio sighed, leaning against her husband and closing her eyes. For a long time, she had no heat, no food, no water, and no hope. Now, in the back of an SUV, leaning against her loving husband and mate, Rio felt as if she were on her way to becoming completed. Nothing in the world could fix the three baby-sized holes in her heart, but she would eventually find that loving those stolen children and the ones to come would prove to be the best thing in the world. Oz was never the same after she came home, but he still loved his family, however small it may be.
Sadness would cross her mind when their birthday would come along, but she wouldn't let it rule her life. Not when she was the Luna of the de la Vega pack. Not when she was Rio de la Vega.
Uhhh.... I'm not sure what to say now.
Except that there's one more chapter, and then it's over!
I know. I know. I'm sorry. But this has been the best ride I've been on in a long time.
I do have one other thing to add, though.
There will be a sequel!
Also, I'm thinking of putting a preview of my already published story on Wattpad... What do you think? Should I do that?
Comment! And vote!! This is almost the last chapter ever!
Bye Loves!
