Oz's POV
Two Months Later:
Oz paced the floor of his office for the millionth time that night. He ran his fingers through his hair, and shouted, "There's been no sign of her for months! In seven days, she'll have been gone for three months! We can't just keep sitting around, hoping she'll come home!"
"What do you think we've been doing all this time, Oz?" Vincent asked, annoyance in his voice. "You think we haven't been worried? Every time we get closer to finding her, the trail goes cold."
"That doesn't mean anything! She should be our top priority!" a frustrated Oz replied. Andre lowered his gaze to the floor.
"Oz," Alice Grace calmly said, "She is a priority. But, as the Alpha of our pack, don't you think we should be worrying about the protection of our homes too?"
Oz clenched his jaw. "Yes, but—"
"There's no but, Oz. It's your job to protect all of us. And part of that means you have to put some things on hold," Alice Grace held up her hand, "That doesn't mean finding Rio should be on pause. That's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying, you have to let us, the people better equipped with finding our Luna, do our job to locate her while you do your job of taking care of the pack."
Oz stood with his mouth wide open as he watched his cousins and best friend leave the room. Once the door was closed, Oz growled in frustration and slammed his hand on his desk. He hated it when Alice Grace was right. And he hated it even more when every member of the pack had the same thought.
Maybe she's gone for good?
"She is not gone," a voice said from behind him. Oz sighed and hung his head.
"You took forever," he said. "How is she?"
Malachi moved from his position by the bookshelves to stand in front of Oz. "She is alive."
"That's not what I meant," Oz replied. "You're supposed to be helping me. Telling that she's alive isn't helping it the way I want to be helped. I want to know where my pregnant wife is."
"Would you like to know about your child?" asked Malachi. "That's the only thing I can do for you."
Oz lifted his eyes from his desk to watch the angel's expression. "You can do that?"
"Yes."
"Then tell me!" Oz cried. "Is it okay?"
"Your child is fine," Malachi said hesitantly. "But... there is one other thing you should know..."
"Well?" shouted Oz. "What is it?"
"The child is not alone," replied Malachi.
"What the hell does that mean?"
"My sister is carrying triplets."
OOOOOHHHH my GOSH!!!!!!!
PLease tell me that didn't happen?
Oh wait. It did.
Haha!
Well, bye bye Loves.
