Andre Black walked down the darkened street, the streetlamps his only light, holding a screaming child in his arms. The damn thing wouldn't shut up. He just wanted the kid gone, but no! Silas wanted the kid in a specific place.

Whatever Silas wants, Silas gets.

The crying was getting on Andre's last nerve.

He clenched his jaw and continued down the street, turning right onto the longest private driveway he'd seen in his life. The child in his arms kicked as he stepped up to the front door and rung the doorbell. He bent down and set the baby girl on the front mat and turned to leave.

One down, two to go, he thought with a smile, never looking over his shoulder once to see if the bratty kid was taken inside.

Hours later, Andre stood at the doorstep of another home, holding yet another crying child in his arms. The second kid's drop off was perfect. The second one didn't even cry. Andre liked that one best.

This child in his arms was as bad as the first one. But Andre liked that it was the last kid he had to touch. Andre hated kids.

He knocked on the last door and did the same as he had with the first two. He set the screaming kid on the front step and walked away. No one would know he was there. No one would know anything.

Andre grabbed his phone from his pocket and dialed Silas's number. He waited for a moment before saying, "It's done. Now hold up your end of the deal."

"It's already been done," Silas replied.

Andre nodded, even though he knew the man on the other side of the phone couldn't see him, and hung up. With a strange skip in his walk, Andre headed off to enjoy the spoils of the deal he'd made with the devil.
