Rio's POV

"Why are we here again?" a nervous Rio whispered to Vincent.

"We're here because my idiot of a sister thought she spilled a secret when she didn't and now that we're here, she definitely spilled the secret," said Vincent.

"What secret?"

Vincent hushed her and pointed to the fireplace where a furious Oz paced back and forth. Rio's dark brown eyes followed his every frustrated movement. He looked so tense. If only she could just use her powers to make him relax a little?

No, Rio, she chided herself. Malachi said only use your powers in an emergency. This isn't an emergency.

"How could you be so reckless?" Oz finally boomed at Alice Grace. Rio's friend shrunk under Oz's angry gaze.

"I'm sorry!" Alice Grace whimpered.

If this has something to do with my mission, then that really sucks, thought Rio. Malachi had indeed lifted the veil from her mind, but that didn't mean he lifted the veil about her mission. He had explained to her that the veil over that part of her memory would slowly lift on it's own as soon as each step of the mission was completed. But Rio had no idea what her mission was so how could she complete it if she didn't know what it was?

"Uhm, excuse me?" Rio asked cautiously.

Next to her, Vincent hissed, "Rio!"

Oz glanced at her and tried to hide his smile. "Are you raising your hand to get my attention?"

"Uh..." Rio blushed and lowered her hand to her lap. "Maybe?"

"What do you want?" Oz sighed.

"I was just wondering... Why am I here?" she asked, pursing her lips and looking around Oz's living room at the terrified Alice Grace, a bored Vincent, and an amused Andre Black.

Oz glanced at Andre, who nodded.

"I think we should talk alone," Oz said. He sat down next to her on the couch and gazed into her eyes. As if on queue, every one else in the room stood and walked away. Rio watched them leave, her heart pounding in her chest.

I'm an Angel, Rio thought. Being alone in a room with Oz shouldn't make me feel strange!

"Before I start explaining things to you, I do have one question," said Oz, taking Rio's hands in his own. Rio nodded slowly.

"Who were you talking to?" asked Oz. His possessiveness coming back full force. He didn't like that his girlfriend was wandering around in the woods talking to a stranger two days after her parents were murdered.

Rio rolled her eyes. "Not you too!"

"I'm just curious, Rio."

"Why?"

"Why? Because I don't like that my girlfriend was wandering around the woods talking to a stranger two days after... you know," explained Oz. "After your parents were murdered."

"Do I really have to answer?"

"Yes."

Rio sighed. "I was talking to my parents. I thought that if I just pretend they were with me, they wouldn't be gone. You know?"

Oz looked at their conjoined hands. "Yeah. I know."

"I'm sorry I yelled at you," Rio continued. "And I'm sorry I said what I did. It was uncalled for. Can you forgive me?"

"There's nothing to forgive."

A lump formed in her throat as his words sunk into her memory. She stared into his dark eyes and saw the one thing she was unprepared to see.

She saw love.

I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to fall in love him. That's not part of the plan, is it? Rio asked herself.

But I already fell.

Rio cleared her throat and looked away. She pulled her hands from his and said, "So what's this secret I'm not supposed to know about but now I do?"

"I'm not sure I want to tell you," replied Oz.

"Well, you made everyone leave so now you definitely have to tell me," commented Rio.

"You're right," said Oz. He ran his hands through his black hair and stood from the couch. He begun pacing again and said, "I'm not sure how to tell you though."

"Spit it out, Oscar."

"Okay! Okay..." Oz trailed off and sat back on the couch, taking her hands in his again. He took a deep breath and said, "I'm a Werewolf."

OHHHHH shiz!

He told her!

What should she say next?

Did you like Vincent's little angry comment about his 'idiot sister'?

And how Rio rose her hand to get Oz's attention!? That's super cute!

But then how Oz told her there was nothing to forgive when she apologized for yelling at him? OH MY GOD! I'm fangirl-ing my own story again!

I finally figured out who should play Vincent Ortega! Brandon Connelly! He's so attractive!
