Chapter 21

Arkin

Arkin wasn't really thinking where his feet would bring him. The next thing he knew he's now infront of their hideout, and as of there's other place he should be at. He tried to knock on the door and it didn't take another time when the door pulled open. Before he could even make it inside, he fell down the floor.

"Arkin?" Harry tried to help him get on his knees but Arkin withdraw his wrist as he attempt to stand up despite the pain evoking through his whole body.

The moment he gets inside is when he realize everyone is looking at him. Confusion evident on their faces. He haven't caught sight of Zero around but his eyes landed on Zeke instead who's had his face scrunched up while looking at his face down to his feet.

"What happened to you?" Tim asked.

It's no surprise why they acted so shocked seeing him right noe. His face and his shirt's almost covered with blood. And he can't almost even stood straight on his own.

"Fight me." Arkin told him instead, making their brows furrowed.

"What are you talking about?"

"Fight me. I thought you don't let a weakling become one of you, so I want you to fight me." Arkin was saying those words while having trouble standing.

Tim then rolls his eyes as he takes a step towards him. He attempt to hold him on the arm but Arkin just took a step back. And before Arkin could even raised a hand, Tim punch him on the face which immediately sent him to the floor as his feet could no longer stand on his own.

Everyone wasn't surprised by what Tim just did. But the confusion they had, seeing Arkin this state couldn't be more intriguing.

Harry and Gab, who's about to help Arkin stand, was stopped by Tim. They watched as how Arkin get on his feet. And when he finally did, he then looked back at Zeke who maintained the same expression he had since he came before he made his way to the bathroom.

"What do you think happened to him?" Gab questioned but none of them knows the answer anyways.

Zeke on the other hand who's been silent the whole time could only think of one thing right now. He have seen Arkin get beat up a couple of times but seeing him tonight with all the bruises and bloods just brings a different feeling that he just felt his hand clenched the entire time.

Arkin decided to stay the night at the hideout. He knows his dad's gonna be looking for him and his mum too if shes ever finds out but Arkin didn't really makes himself bothered about it. It felt lighter that he's not in the same place they're at.

When morning comes, he gets to be reminded about what had happened and, even recall how the conversation he had with the boys went.

He was tired last night that he's fell asleep on the bathroom before he could even clean himself. He just woke up in the bed and all cleaned up.

"Oh, you're up!" He looked over the living area where Gab and Harry's at. "There's breakfast on the table. Eat if you like."

Arkin take a few moments before ho thought of asking, "Where are the others?"

"Zero's not home since yesterday. Tim's probably went home to visit his family. And Zeke, I know he's went to school. We're planning on waking you up but we thought you might need to take some rest first."
