Zeke

The smell of baked mac and cheese coming from Zeke's kitchen made him smile. His mum had visits him this morning and insisted to make something  for their lunch. Unlike before, his mum's looking a little okay this time. She can now manage to move around and which Zeke's really glad about.

It just feels nice waking up having your mum prepare for you a food. Something he missed the most from the last years that they live separately.

Zeke insisted the to set the table while waiting for their food to get cooked when suddenly they heared the knocking on the door. Zeke made his way to the front doors and was surprised to see it was Jason.

"What are you doing here?" Zeke asked, almost a whisper.

"I need to talk to you." Zeke looked at his mum in the kitchen before he went outside and shut the door closed.

"What?" He immediately asked when he noticed Jason is looking a little different in his aura.

"What the hell did you do to Gareth?"

"What do you mean? I did exactly the same thing you told me."

Jason ran a hand through his hair, feeling his nerves climbing up his spines. "Are you even aware of what you did? I told you to just scare him. I don't tell you to kill him!"

"Is he dead?"

"He's in a critical condition." Jason said and Zeke just nod his head as he shove his hands to his pocket.

"Bad for him."

Jason looked at Zeke, mouth open in disbelief. He's in the process thinking, if Zeke is being serious right now. How could he be so not bothered about it.

"Are you serious right now?"

"I'm always serious, Jason. You asked me to do the job. I just did as what you have told me. It's just that he's been talking a lot of nonsense which I hated the most. That guy had underestimated me as much as you understamedated how I do my job."

As much as Jason is scared for Zeke for what could happen to him if he might actually had killed Gareth, he couldn't deny the fact that he made him so amused of him. He just didn't expect he was really that good. No one wonder why he's known for it.

After a few moments, Jason let's out a heavy breath. "Just don't get caught." He then tapped Zeke on the shoulder and made his way off.

It was the first time Zeke had seen Jason again and it was the only time he's heard about that Gareth. He's clearly did not think how bad he's made that guy and now it did just made him go through some realizations about how bad he did him.

"Who was that?" His mum asked him as soon as he enters the house and Zeke shake his head.

"N-nothing."

His mum nods her head, and Zeke gets back setting the table like nothing has happened.

.

In the following days, things had went normal for Zeke. He goes to school and meet up the boys once in a while aside he's haven't seen Arkin around.

He's not been going to their hideout and haven't even seen him around the campus and Zeke can't help wondering why.

Tim, Gab, and Harry were interrupted as soon as Zeke entered the door. They looked at him and wait when they noticed he's about to speak.

"Have you seen Arkin?" Zeke asked and they shake their heads.

"No, I don't think we've seen him around." Gab said.
