Zeke
Zeke didn't noticed the way his friends look at him until he raised his glance at them and realize why they'd been so quiet.
"What?" He asked, making them brought back to the present.
"You know what? I've been noticing something strange about you." Richard said while he remain looking at his face. "You've been having bruises on your face lately. Is there anything you're not telling us?"
Deven started bobbing his head while he take a huge gulp of his water. "Yeah. About that. I've been noticing that too. You're looking tired and worn out recently."
Zeke knew they're gonna ask about it but not that he had plans on telling them the truth although it would make him a little suspicious.
"There are a lot of bullshit everywhere. Fight isn't a new thing to us." He said but that doesn't seemed to make them get rid of the confusion in their head.
They remain looking at him as though they were reading them like a book. And Zeke was just trying to act as if that doesn't bothers him.
"Hey, tell us, is it true you've been to a fight with Ricky?"
"I overheard a conversation from someone they saw you fighting about a week ago. Is that true?"
"We're just both bored and decided to pick a fight with each other."
Jacob hissed. "Cap! We all know Ricky is the bullshit among all the bullshit. We know there's other reasons why."
"Zeke, better stay away from that guy. It's no good if you would get to a big fight with him which might affect you in a serious way. Not because you're having good grades doesn't mean the teachers won't pay attention to your face."
Jacob leaned forward. "Look, we don't know what you're really up to but, you know you always have our back." He said and Zeke just snigger.
"Where are you going now?" Richard asked when Zeke stood from his seat but Zeke didn't bother to respond and just wave his hand as he departs.
He's glad to hear that they're concerned for him. They've always been supportive to him which makes him felt terrible that he couldn't be hundred percent honest to them.
They had no idea about his life outside the campus and it's better to keep it that way. They may be strong but Zeke never thought of putting these people in the line.
.
By the time Arkin entered the art's room. He wasn't surprised that he would see Kevin but he didn't expect he'll meet today. It's been a while since they had spoken to each other and just looking at his face, it looks like he still have the same feelings he had.
As he began to walk and look at the paintings, Kevin spoke, "I know you're aware that students whose not in the club isn't allowed to enter here. If you're not enrolled to any arts subjects. You surely could never step here again once Mr. Garby caught you here without permission."
"What if I'll join the club?" Kevin looked up to see Arkin only looking at him. He doesn't say a word but Kevin knew what's in his head.
"I know you're not. But I know you'll get back to painting." He said and get back to cleaning.
"Is my life really that predictable?"
"Not really. There's so many things I don't know about you." He said which makes Arkin quiet. "By the way, wow's life going on with you now? I heared you got the second place again." Kevin said, and he was just sent quiet.
He always thought being in the first place doesn't really concerns anyone as much as it doesn't matter to him. This only made him realize how people expected something from him.
