Arkin
Arkin was laying on his bed as he recoil about the conversation he had with Zeke, when suddenly he hears his phone rings and saw it was Zeke but before he could even answer it, his dad enter his room.
"Go change. We're going to attend a party tonight."
"Do I really have to be there?"
"Of course. You have to meet and socialize with those people. It's a good thing that you're aware of the environment you'll be part soon. You might have work with them in the future." His father told him and Arkin just averted his gaze.
It's part of what they had agreed to and he just knew his father won't let him even he attempt to decline.
Suddenly, his phone rings again and before he could even pick it up, his dad grabs his phone from his hand. He watched him stare at the screen until it stopped ringing.
"I'm gonna take this first. You go change." His father then made his way off before Arkin could even say anything.
He lets out a heavy breath as soon as his father left. It only made him so mad not just to his father but most especially to himself. He's mad that he'd get back living the life he tried to ran away from.
After he changed into his clothes, he went downstairs to look for his dad when he heard the bell rang from outside. He take a peek from the glass window and was surprised to see Tim outside his house.
It's the first time he'd seen him again and they're probably wondering why he hasn't spoken to them and why he hasn't answering his calls lately. He had thought about the already but it seemed like he has forgot how he'll explain it to them.
Just after Arkin had made his way outside, Tim had rushed to his way.
"Tim." He started, unsure what to say and for a moment Tim had stared at his eyes with an unusual aura painted on his face.
He wonders how he knows where he lives and what's with his sudden appearance. But thinking about his absencence he thought maybe he had the same question as he does have.
"Haven't you spoken to Zeke?"
"Why?" He asked and when Tim went quiet, Arkin knew something just not right. "What happened?"
Tim take in a sigh. "His mum died last night." It didn't sink in his head tight away that he had take another time to process what he just said and when he did realize it, his mouth went agape.
"What?" Arkin felt his knees tremble and thought began to form in his head. "Where is Zeke now? How is he?"
"We have no idea. He's left last night and we haven't spoke to him since then." Arkin felt like something had stabbed him in the chest as he hears those words. He suddenly thought about Zeke calling just earlier. "We've been looking for him around but we couldn't find him. He's not even replying to our text or even pick up our calls and we're just so worried for him now."
Arkin's lips parted, not knowing what to say not what to think at this point. And just before he could even think of what to do, he hears his father calls out for him.
"Arkin, we have to go now." His dad told him and Tim looked at him as though he's waiting for his response.
"Arkin, aren't you going to find Zeke?"
"Arkin, let's go now!"
For a moment, Arkin just felt his head starts to pound really hard as he swift gazes at Tim and to his dad who's both waiting for him.
The look in Tim's eyes is making him had hard time thinking. He could now feel the tears forming in his eyes and he looked down before it could even fell down his cheeks.
