Zeke
Zeke's not aware how long he's been staring at Arkin while he sleeps. It's only six in the morning and yet, he could manage to stand as though he had completed his eight hours of sleep. But it's not that he had woken up very early, he actually just couldn't sleep at all.
There's just so many thoughts that's been running through his head the whole night making it harder for him to sleep or even had his mind relaxed.
Suddenly, his phone started ringing. As if on cue, he quickly stood up the moment he saw the name flashes on the screen of his phone. He grab on his jacket and take another glance at Arkin before leaving.
It didn't take a while before Zeke had finally reached their meeting place. And there he saw Jason made his way towards his direction.
The moment, he reaches his places, Jason had look at him intently in the eyes li he was trying to figure what he's thinking or even feeling right now but, Zeke's face is just as blank as it always seemed.
"What are your plans now?" Jason started as when he noticed Zeke doesn't have plan on talking. "Gareth's dead and his case still under investigation. The cops might go look after you as soon as they figured the truth."
A moment of silence occured before Zeke had spoke. "What do you think I should do now?"
"I think you better make your escape now. You sure don't want to get caught and make your life miserable than it has been already."
Jason was serious when told Zeke about what he think he should do but, Zeke thought about is as a funny idea.
"Thanks for the idea but, I'm staying." Zeke said making Jason look intently into his face as though he's trying to figure if he is being serious right now.
"Don't you want to protect yourself?"
"I had other things to protect than myself." Zeke smiled at the end of his sentence and Jason just couldn't think of what to react about it.
"Zeke, you're not planning on taking me down, aren't you?" This time, Zeke remain silent as they stared into each other's eyes. When Zeke doesn't says anything is when Jason heave out a sigh with a smirk on his lips.
It may be very silly but Zeke had made his decision. He knows soon everyone will figure about what happened and what he did but, that's not what he's concerned most at this point.
The fact that the cops might have looked for him anytime, anywhere doesn't scares him the way it should be. He knows from the start, the consequences that he'll face after deciding to agree on the job that he has taken. At this point, he's more worried of the people around him and how it would affect them.
.
When Arkin woke up, Zeke isn't around anymore. The breakfast Zeke had left on the table was already cold which Arkin assumed Zeke has gone for quite a while. He just wonder why he'd left early in the morning.
Arkin was changing into his uniform when he heard the knocking on the door. As soon as he reached the knob, he pulled the door open and saw a guy who seemed to be in his mid twenties.
He's wearing a cap but still looks kind of formal with his attire, and just before he even thought about it, the guy took off his cap, making Arkin have a clear sight of his face. He's not sure but he kind of reminds him of someone.
They exchange glances for a few moments before Arkin raised his brow when the guy doesn't seemed had plan of talking.
"Is there anything I could help you with?"
