Arkin
Arkin and Tim who was standing from a distance was only looking at Zeke who is sitting outside the room. It's been an hour since Jeric left and Zeke had somehow gathered himself again.
Tim had explained to Arkin about Jeric whom he figured was Zeke's step father. He was also explained how Zeke hated that guy and how it made Zeke the person he is today.
"I'm gonna grab him something to eat. You go talk to him. I'll also tell the others about what happened." Tim told him and he just nod his head before Tim left.
When Arkin reached Zeke's place, he extended him a cup of coffee. "Have some coffee."
Zeke raised his glance up before he get the cup. Arkin then take a seat beside him as they began to take sip on their coffee in silence. Not that they have nothing to be talking about because Zeke just doesn't have the strength to talk at this point.
Moments later, they saw the doctor finally came out from the room and Zeke had quickly made his way to him.
"Mr. Haris, right?"
"Yes, is my mum okay now?"
"Well, she's okay now but, we still have to undergo with some tests. I'll be honest, your mum's in a critical condition right now."
"But she's gonna be fine, right?"
"We'll do our best." The doctor said and Zeke just stared to nowhere.
"Thank you." Arkin thanked the doctor before he left while Zeke had get back sitting when he felt his knees tremble.
Arkin could feel what Zeke is feeling right now. As much as he wants to cheer him up and make him feel better at least, he's really not sure what and how will he do it.
"I'm so mad of myself." Arkin looked to his side when Zeke had finally spoke. "I should've taken care of her. I shouldn't let that guy take my mum." Zeke spoke, his voice almost cracks.
"Don't blame yourself now. It wasn't your fault... at all." Arkin said but Zeke shake his head, knowing it's not as easy as how he'd like to think it was.
"I don't know what to do if I loose my mum. She's all I got and I can't afford to loose my her."
Arkin saw the tears starts to fell down his checks and even Zeke would try to wipe it away, the tears just wouldn't stop.
Unsure of what to say, Arkin grabs his shaky hand and squeezes it gently while he used his other hand to tap Zeke on the back.
"Don't worry, she's gonna be fine."
In the past months that he has know him and his mum, Arkin knew how much he loves him mum and how important she is to him and that's why he felt how intense his emotions right now.
.
He's got no idea how long he's been staring
One day, Zeke had grab some stuff from his apartment while Zeke insisted to look after his mum while he's gone. He was even told to take a rest at least but Zeke just couldn't.
Just when Zeke had pulled the door open, he was not able to move when he saw Arkin's dad outside his apartment. Arkin's father doesn't seemed surprised as it looked like he really was waiting for him.
Before Zeke could even talk, Arkin's dad had made his way inside without a word. And Zeke only watched as how he looked around the place before his eyes landed back at him.
