"Your aunt said what?" I exclaim in complete shock to Colin.
"She thinks I have no loyalty to my family, but if we're going to be honest Juliet she really only used me for money." Colin explains.
"I still think it was very big of you to still pay for Juliet's tuition after everything she did to you." I tell him as I continue to get ready.
"It felt like the right thing to do. After I took a few days to cool off it just made sense. Juliet made mistakes but it wasn't without Ben pressuring her. She explained that she wanted to stop early on, but he kept reminding her that she owed him." Colin explains.
"I don't agree with the things he did to get revenge, but none of us have been to prison for a crime we didn't commit." I argue.
"I just don't know how Serena can be in a relationship with him after the things he tried to do to her. Sure it was because he thought she lied about him, but still. Strong feelings of hate like that don't just disappear that easily." Colin points out.
"Serena has always had an interesting look on love." I state.
"That she does." We both laugh.
"Hey babe, will you?" I ask Colin for help as he zips up my dress. "This is a big night for my brother." I say as I smooth out my dress.

"It's amazing what he's done. He's never backed down from Thorpe no matter what has been thrown at him." Colin compliments Chuck's hard work.
"Thorpe is a spinless ass who is holding a grudge against our father and is now trying to punish Chuck for it. I don't even know why he would waste money to tear down the company and move to New York when all of his business dealing has been in Chicago for the last two decades." I comment.
"Thorpe has always been known as a ruthless businessman. I guess it only has to make sense for him."
"Have you ever had to deal with him?"
"Luckily we're not in the same type of work, but I've known plenty of guys like him. Getting into a fight with him is not for the faint of heart."
"Serena asked if Ben could accompany her to Palmer's recital." I share it with Colin.
"I'm surprised she hasn't forced him more in our faces."
"I think that's on Ben's reluctance to be around us and Serena is still angry with Lily for what she did."
"I made it known to my aunt that I did not agree with Lily lying about Ben's involvement with Serena as a way to leverage the school in giving Serena a good recommendation for private school in the city." Colin says.
"I agree. What Lily did was completely wrong."
"But I also acknowledge that Ben's name will never be cleared if Lily doesn't fess up to her part in it." Colin says. I nod my head knowing what he's saying is true.
