I hope you all enjoy this fun update.
3rd Person's POV
Nate is busy speaking with information about his cake, which he's baking in the oven. "No, I have the address, I just need her name, okay? Why are you called information, huh?" He hangs up the phone and opens the oven door, only to have smoke fill the room. The elevator dings as Dan and Chuck enter the penthouse.
"I'm not Serena, Humphrey. I don't need saving." Chuck insults Dan for interrupting him this afternoon. Dan enters the kitchen, finding Nate struggling with the ruined cake.
"Hey, oh." Dan looks at his friend with concern.
"Hey, ahem. I thought you were still in the Hamptons. I'd ask how your summer's going. Seeing you with Chuck, I guess the answer's probably weird." Nate comments.
"Oh, it gets weirder. I found him paying some really rough dudes to fight him." Dan shares. Nate looks up at Dan. "He wasn't forthcoming. But I would imagine it's a new Bass-type scheme to get Blair's attention."
"He said he was okay about her all summer." Nate states. "Maybe it's finally hitting him now that we're back."
"Think something else hit him." Dan replies. "He was already bruised when I got there. I think he might need to see a doctor."
"Yeah? Well, my mom has this concierge doc she could send." Nate offers. "Calling her means I have to decide which internship I want."
"Uh, I could stick around and talk it through. I was kind of hoping to get some help from Chuck on something anyway." Dan explains and points to Chuck, who is entering the kitchen.
"I'm gonna call the doctor, have him check out your bruises, okay?" Nate tells his friend.
"Excellent." Chuck states as he picks up a piece of the cake and eats it.
"Listen, I'll just uh call you when the doctor leaves. How about that?" Nate tells Dan.
"All right. Um...we should tell Ella about this." Dan states.
"What? Why would I be speaking to Ella?" Nate questions.
"Her brother is engaging in risky behavior, which is saying something for it being Chuck Bass." Dan comments.
"I don't want to worry, Ella. She has a lot going on, and if we can handle this, then that's what we should do." Nate replies.
"Alright, man." Dan nods and heads out.

Dan's POV
After speaking with Blair, I realize more is going on with Chuck than anyone realizes. If no one else is going to do something about it, then I will. I head back to the alleyway where I spotted Chuck earlier, and I find two men beating him up. "Hey, hey!" I call out. "Whoa, whoa, again? Guys, come on. You can't..." I grab my face after one of the guys punches me. "Hey, I'm not a part of his payment plan." I call out.
"Sorry. Mr. Bass said nothing should stop us except his safe word." The guy who punched me explains that Chuck is rolling on the ground in pain.
"He could die." I remind them.
"Though this be madness, yet there is method in it." Chuck tells us. The guy kicks him in the stomach. "I guess that wasn't the safe word." Chuck raises his voice.
"Chuck, tell them to stop." I exclaim.
"Okay, fine. Stop." Chuck orders.
"Let's go." The two guys run off. I am in disbelief that his safe word was stop.
