Seungcheol stood before the council, the heavy wooden table separating him from the stern faces of the elders.

The room was dimly lit, the only illumination coming from the flickering candles and the moonlight seeping through the high windows.

The air was thick with tension as the council members murmured amongst themselves, gazing in disapproval at Seungcheol.

Elder Hyun, called the meeting to order. "Seungcheol," she began, her voice cold.

"You have been summoned here to explain your recent actions. First, you defended the idea of same-rank relationships within your pack, and now we hear that you are teaching Omegas to hunt. Do you not respect our traditions?" She asked.

"I respect our traditions, but I also believe in the strength and potential of every member of my pack. Traditions are important, but they should not hinder our growth or unity." Seungcheol explained.

"Explain why you felt it necessary to teach Omegas to hunt, Seungcheol." Elder Soo asked.

"The Omegas approached me with a desire to learn and contribute more to the pack. By teaching them to hunt, I am helping them and fostering a sense of equality and teamwork within the pack. This isn't about defying tradition; it's about adapting and strengthening our pack for the future." Seungcheol explained.

"But hunting has always been the role of Alphas and Betas. By changing this, you disrupt the natural order." Elder Hyun said.

"The natural order is maintained when every member feels valued and capable. When the Omegas are empowered, they become more confident. This doesn't weaken us; it makes us stronger. And regarding same-rank relationships, love and loyalty shouldn't be constrained by rank. A pack that supports such bonds is a pack united in more than just duty." Seungcheol said.

Elder Hyun's eyes narrowed. "And what if other packs see this as a sign of weakness? That your pack is breaking away from the traditions that have kept us strong for generations?" She asked.

"If other packs see this as a weakness, they underestimate us. The strength of a pack isn't in rigid adherence to tradition but in the unity and capability of its members. My pack is stronger because we trust and support each other, regardless of rank. We are evolving, not weakening." Seungcheol's voice rose slightly.

"How do you intend to ensure that this path you are leading your pack down will indeed make you stronger?" Elder Soo asked.

"I propose that you observe us. See the results of our training and the bonds we've formed. Let us prove that our approach works. Give us a chance to show that adaptation and unity can coexist with tradition." Seungcheol suggested.

Elder Hyun seemed ready to object, but Elder Soo raised her hand once more, silencing any protests. "Very well, Seungcheol. We will observe your pack. But remember, the council's patience is not infinite. Prove to us that your methods work, or there will be consequences."

Seungcheol nodded, relief flooding through him. "Thank you, Elders. I promise you won't regret this." Seungcheol said.

As he left the council chamber, Seungcheol felt pleased with how this meeting went.
