*Flashback*

As the moon hung high in the sky, Jeonghan and the rest of the pack gathered in the clearing, their eyes flickering with anticipation as they awaited the arrival of their leader.

But as the moments stretched into minutes, and still their Alpha failed to appear, a sense of unease began to settle over the group.

Jeonghan stood at the forefront of the pack, his heart heavy with worry. He had sensed something was wrong in the days leading up to this moment, a growing tension in the air that he couldn't quite shake.

As it got later and later in the night Jeonghan made his way to the leader den, his gaze fixed on their Alpha, who paced back and forth, his expression troubled.

"What's going on?" Jeonghan asked, a sinking feeling settled in the pit of his stomach. He could tell that something bad was coming before a word was even spoken.

"I'm leaving, Jeonghan," The Alpha said, his voice dull "I can't stay here anymore."

Jeonghan's heart clenched in his chest, his mind struggling to comprehend the words. "Leaving? But why? Where will you go?" He asked.

"I can't say. There are things I need to figure out, things I need to do. For myself." The Alpha said.

Jeonghan felt a surge of anger rising within him, tempered by the overwhelming sense of betrayal. "You're just going to abandon us? Leave us to fend for ourselves?" He asked.

"Don't be like this Jeonghan. It's for the best." The Alpha sighed in annoyance.

But Jeonghan couldn't accept his words, couldn't accept the suddenness of his departure. "You didn't even tell the others," he accused, his voice shaking with emotion. "You're just going to disappear without a word?"

"It's easier this way, less questions and less time wasted." The Alpha said, like he was trying to comfort Jeonghan in this moment.

But there was no comfort to be found in his words, only a bitter sense of betrayal that cut deep. With a heavy heart, Jeonghan watched as their Alpha turned away, disappearing into the darkness without a backward glance.

Alone in the den, Jeonghan sank to the ground, his heart heavy with grief and confusion.

Their Alpha had left them, without a word of explanation or a chance to say goodbye. And as the weight of his absence settled over him, he couldn't help but cry.
