*Flashback*

Jeonghan stood in the middle of yet another pack meeting, his heart still heavy with sorrow and doubt.

He had always been a loyal member of the pack, but the thought of stepping into a leadership role now, in the aftermath of their leader's abandonment, filled him with a sense of unease.

"We need someone to lead us through this," Mingyu said. "And I belive Jeonghan can." He added.

"Mingyu, I don't think I can do this. I'm not an Alpha." Jeonghan said queitly.

"You may not be an Alpha, but not only are you the's the oldest among us. But you also come Emberfang. You know how to lead without relying on an Alpha's authority." Mingyu told Jeonghan.

Jeonghan felt a swell of pride at Mingyu's words, but it was quickly overshadowed by the weight of responsibility that settled on his shoulders. Could he truly step into this role, knowing the doubts and uncertainties that surrounded him right now.

Before he could voice his concerns, Minghao stepped forward, his expression serious. "We need someone we can trust," he said, his voice carrying a note of urgency. "Someone who won't abandon us."

The pack fell silent, the gravity of Minghao's words hanging in the air. They all knew the pain of betrayal, the sting of being left behind by the one they had trusted to lead them.

All eyes turned to Jeonghan, the weight of their expectations heavy upon him. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the responsibility that lay ahead.

"I would never leave you all. Ever." Jeonghan promoised. "I... I will lead." He decided, his voice steady despite the uncertainty that gnawed at his insides.

"But only until we find a more permanent solution." A collective sigh of relief swept through the pack.

Wonwoo stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Jeonghan's shoulder. "We'll stand by you," he said, his voice filled with unwavering loyalty.
