Fifty Three

The following night, Jeonghan found himself standing outside Seungcheol's den, his heart pounding in his chest as he knocked on the door.

"Come in," Seungcheol's voice called from inside, and Jeonghan pushed open the door, stepping into the dimly lit den.

"Hey, Jeonghan," Seungcheol looked up with a smile. "Whats up?" He asked.

Jeonghan swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. "Uh- Seungcheol, there's something I need to tell you." He started.

"I... I've been thinking a lot lately," he admitted, his voice shaking slightly. "About us, about our pack, about everything that's happened."

"It's been a challenging time." Seungcheol agreed. "But you've all faced it together, as a pack." Seungcheol added.

Jeonghan nodded, a his face. "Yes, we have," he agreed. "And... and there's something else I need to tell you."

"What is it, Jeonghan? You can tell me anything." Seungcheol reassured as Jeonghan took a long deep breath.

"Seungcheol, I ... I think I might have feelings for you." Jeonghan confessed.

Seungcheol's eyes widened in surprise, his breath catching in his throat. "Jeonghan, I..." Seungcheol started.

Jeonghan quickly cut him off. "I understand if you don't feel the same way," He said. "I just needed to tell you how I feel."

Seungcheol reached out, gently lifting Jeonghan's chin so that their eyes met. "Jeonghan." He said softly, "You have no idea how long I've wanted to tell you the same thing."

Jeonghan's eyes widened in surprise. "You have?" He asked as Seungcheol nodded.

"Yes! But... but I didn't want to say anything because... because I know how much you've been hurt in the past. I didn't want to rush you into something you weren't ready for." Seungcheol explained.

Tears welled up in Jeonghan's eyes at Seungcheol's words, the weight of his past pain suddenly feeling lighter in the warmth of Seungcheol's action.

"Thank you," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion." Jeonghan said as Seungcheol pulled Jeonghan into his arms, holding him close.
