Thankfully, they had no more run-ins or problems with the Shadowclaw pack. And things seemed to be getting back to a peacful rotuine.

Until one day, when the sun had barely risen when the council of elders arrived at the pack's territory.

Their presence was unmistakable – a procession of dignified wolves, their hair grayed with age and their eyes sharp.

Word of their arrival spread quickly, and soon Seungcheol was at the eddge of their terrioty to meet them.

The head of the council, Elder Hyun, stepped forward, "Seungcheol," she began, her voice carrying the weight of authority, "We have come to discuss a matter of great concern."

Seungcheol bowed his head respectfully. "Elder Hyun, council members, we welcome you to our territory. Please, tell us what concerns you."

Elder Hyun's gaze hardened. "We have received reports that many of your pack members are in relationships with wolves of the same rank. This goes against the traditional hierarchy and balance of the pack."

The pack members eyes widened in shock, Vernon and Seungkwan quickly taking a step away from eachother.

Seungcheol sighed as he rose his head, meeting their gaze head-on. "That's correct," he replied. "And I fail to see how that is a problem."

The elders exchanged glances, clearly taken aback by Seungcheol's defiance. "Such relationships are forbidden," another elder declared. "They disrupt the natural order of the pack hierarchy."

"With all due respect, the strength of our pack does not depend on who is romantically involved with whom. It depends on our unity, our loyalty, and our willingness to stand together." Seungcheol pointed out.

"You dare to defy our traditions?" One of them demanded in outrage.

Seungcheol, on the otherhand, refused to back down. "I dare to stand up for my pack," he declared.

"I refuse to let outdated customs dictate who my wolves can love. Love knows no rank, and as long as it does not disrupt the harmony of our pack, I see no reason to interfere." He stated.

There was a moment of tense silence as the elders absorbed Seungcheol's words, their expressions conflicted.

Finally, Elder Hyun spoke up, "We understand your perspective, Seungcheol. But know that such relationships will continue to be scrutinized." Elder Hyun said.

"I understand. But know this - I will always prioritize the well-being and happiness of my pack above all else. And if that means challenging the status quo, then so be it." Seungcheol said.

"This conversation is far from over Seungcheol, the other council members will be hearing about this." Another wolf said.

Nodding, Seungcheol turned on his heel and made his way back to his pack members, who were undoubtedly listening in from close by.
