The council observed the pack for what felt like weeks.

And rhe council's decision came down one bright afternoon, as they called Seungcheol to the line of their territory.

By the time Seungcheol returned to their territory, the entire pack was waiting for him.

His eyes met Jeonghan's first. "So? How did it go?" Jeonghan asked, the Beta's expression a mix of hope and anxiety.

With a slow nod, Seungcheol smiled. The council had approved their methods and would leave them be.

A collective cheer erupted from the pack. The tension that had been hanging over them for weeks dissolved in an instant, replaced by a wave of relief and joy.

Jeonghan was the first to reach Seungcheol, pulling him into a tight embrace. "We did it, Seungcheol," Jeonghan whispered. "You did it."

Mingyu and Wonwoo joined the hug shortly after. "I knew you'd convince them," Wonwoo said.

"You're the best leader we could ask for." Mingyu smiled as Seungcheol ruffled the youngers hair.

One by one, the others join the group hug. "This calls for a celebration!" Seungkwan declared.

"Absolutely," Jun agreed. "Tonight, we celebrate."

As the group hug broke off, Hoshi turned to their pack leader. "We owe you so much. Thank you for believing in us." He said, the others agreeing.

Seungcheol looked at each of them, his heart swelling with pride and affection. "We did this together," he said.

"Every single one of you played a part in proving to the council that our way works. This is our victory, not just mine." He added.

As their celebration carried on into the night. Seungcheol watched the rest of the pack celebrate.

This was his family, his pack. They had faced all these challenges together.

That night, under the light of the full moon. For the first time in a long while, Seungcheol allowed himself to relax.
