In the days that followed their conversation, Jeonghan found himself reflecting on Seungcheol's words, and how much he truly seemed to care about Jeonghan.

One evening, as they sat together beneath the stars, the quiet of the night broken only by the sound of rustling leaves and distant howls of their pack mebers, Jeonghan felt a weight lifting from his shoulders.

He knew that he could trust Seungcheol. "Seungcheol," Jeonghan began, his voice soft but steady. "There's something I need to tell you." He said.

Seungcheol turned to face Jeonghan. He could sense the seriousness in Jeonghan's tone, and the weight of the confession he was about to make.

"What is it, Jeonghan?" Seungcheol asked.

Taking a deep breath, Jeonghan began to silently recount the events that had led to their previous pack leader's departure.

Finally, Jeonghan spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "Our past leader... he wasn't always like that. He was... a good Alpha I suppose?" Jeonghan said.

"But something changed in him. I don't know what, or why," Jeonghan's voice cracked, betraying the pain that still lingered. "He stopped caring. About the pack, about us... about me."

"You don't have to continue if you don't want to Jeonghan." Seungcheol clarified as he gently took Jeonghan's hand in his.

Jeonghan appreciated the gesture but continued, needing to unburden himself of the weight he had carried for so long.

"When he left... it broke me," Jeonghan admitted, his voice raw with emotion. "I was the oldest member, and I was supposed to be his right hand, his confidant. But in the end, he just... abandoned us."

"I'm sorry, Jeonghan. I can't imagine how difficult that must have been for you." Seungcheol said sadly.

Jeonghan shook his head, a bitter laugh escaping him. "You don't have to apologize. It's not your fault." Jeonghan said, feeling a strange sense of relief, finally sharing the pain he had carried alone for so long.
