That night Seungcheol had decided to sleep outside, to keep an eye on dens incase any other packs tried to try anything while everyone else was sleeping.
Seungcheol's eyes scanned the forest. The day's events had taken a toll on him. As much as he tried to remain strong and composed, moments of vulnerability were inevitable.
Jeonghan, catching Seungcheol outside, approached the older quietly. "Seungcheol," he called softly, his voice a gentle murmur in the night.
Seungcheol turned to face him, a weary smile tugging at his lips. "Jeonghan," he replied.
Jeonghan stepped closer, his presence a comforting balm. "You did well today," he said, knowing what Seungcheol needed to hear.
"Thank you, Jeonghan. It's been a long day, and I can't help but feel the weight of it all."
Jeonghan's gaze softened, as he wrapped his arms around the leader. "Even leaders need rest," he said quietly. "And comfort."
Seungcheol hesitated for a moment, before wrapping his arms around Jeonghan's waist. "Jeonghan, would you... stay with me out here tonight?" He asked.
"Of course." Jeonghan smiled, rubbing Seungcheol's back.
Jeonghan layed down beside Seungcheol, feeling the leader's arm wrap around his wasit again as Jeonghan wrapped his arms around Seungcheol's shoulders.
The warmth of Jeonghan's body against his own brought an immediate sense of peace to Seungcheol. He let out a sigh, the tension in his muscles slowly melting away.
"Thank you, Jeonghan," Seungcheol whispered, his voice so quiet he was unsure if Jeonghan had even heard him.
Jeonghan tightened his embrace slightly. "Always." Jeonghan whispered back.
The two lay there in comfortable silence, with the sounds of the forest and their gentle breathing, the 2 leaders fell alseep.
