With that, the rival Alpha and his pack retreated, their departure leaving a sense of relief hanging in the air. The sun was now setting as Seungcheol and Jeonghan returned from the tense confrontation.

The 2 walked side by side, the silence stretching until they reached a clearing near their camp.

Seungcheol stopped, placing a firm hand on Jeonghan's shoulder to get his attention. "Jeonghan," he began, his voice steady but laced with concern, "we need to talk about what happened back there."

Jeonghan met his gaze. "What do you mean?" He asked a hint of curiosity mixed with a touch of defensiveness in his tone.

Seungcheol sighed, running a hand through his hair. "When you resisted submission, it was impressive. But it could also put you at risk. That rival pack might know about your ability now, and that could make you a target." Seungcheol explained.

Jeonghan's eyes narrowed slightly. "I had to do it, Seungcheol. They were pushing us, testing us. If I didn't stand firm, they would have seen it as a sign of weakness." Jeonghan said.

"I know, and  I'm grateful for your quick thinking. But you need to be careful. That ability is a double-edged sword. It can protect you, but it can also draw unwanted attention and provoke aggression." Seungcheol pointed out.

Jeonghan's expression softened slightly as he considered Seungcheol's words. "So, what do you suggest I do? Not use it at all?" He asked.

Seungcheol shook his head. "No, I'm not saying that. Just please try not to make it your first line of defense. We need to find other ways to assert our strength and maintain our position." Seungcheol said.

"Easier said than done Seungcheol. You do know this was how I was raised, I never have submitted to anyone." Jeonghan pointed out as Seungcheol took Jeonghan's hands in his.

"I know this gift is in your blood  and I trust your judgment. But I need you to promise me that you'll be careful. We can't afford to lose you, especially now." Seungcheol said.

Jeonghan nodded, his gaze meeting Seungcheol's with determination. "I promise. I'll be careful." Jeonghan said.

Seungcheol's grip on Jeonghan's hand tightened for a brief moment, "Me and you are in this together, Jeonghan. And we need to protect each other as much as the pack. What you have is valuable, but so is your safety." He clarified.

"Thank you Seungcheol." Jeonghan smiled.
