The next morning, Danielle woke up early, eager to begin their training at the royal dungeons. She glanced over at Luna, who was still sleeping peacefully, and gently shook her awake.
"Luna, it's time to get up," Danielle said, her voice filled with excitement.
Luna groaned sleepily, rubbing her eyes as she sat up in bed. "Already?" she mumbled, blinking in the morning light.
"Yes, we don't want to keep my mother waiting," Danielle replied, hopping out of bed and starting to get ready.
With a yawn, Luna followed suit, quickly dressing and gathering her things. Together, they made their way through the castle corridors, their footsteps echoing against the stone walls as they headed towards their destination.
When they arrived at the dungeons, they found the queen waiting for them, a warm smile on her face.
"Good morning, my dear girls," the queen greeted them, her voice filled with warmth.
"Good morning, Your Majesty,"
"Good morning, mom," Luna and Danielle replied in unison, bowing respectfully.
"Are you ready to begin your training?" the queen asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
"Yes, Your Majesty," Luna replied eagerly, her heart pounding with anticipation.
"Very well, let us begin," the queen said, leading them further into the dungeons until they stopped in front of a cell.
"Luna, I want you to trust me," the queen began, her voice calm but firm. "Can I count on you to do that?"
"Absolutely." Luna nodded eagerly, determination shining in her eyes.
"I need you to enter this cell and wait for my next instruction," the queen instructed, gesturing towards the open door. Danielle glanced at her mother in confusion, unsure of what was about to happen.
"Of course," Luna replied with unwavering resolve as she stepped into the cell. The queen closed the door and locked it from the outside, leaving Luna alone in the dimly lit enclosure.
As the door clicked shut, Danielle couldn't shake off an eerie feeling that something wasn't right about this situation. "I have a bad feeling about this," she commented nervously, her brow furrowing with concern.
"Oh, don't worry, dear," her mother reassured her casually. "Luna will just be facing off against an ogre."
Danielle's eyes widened in shock, and she let out a startled scream. The sound echoed through the dungeon, waking up the ogre from its slumber in the cell. With a low growl, the creature lumbered to its feet, its massive form casting a menacing shadow in the dim light.
"Well, it's awake now," the queen remarked with a nonchalant shrug, seemingly unfazed by the sudden turn of events. Luna, meanwhile, took a step back, her heart racing with fear as she faced the looming threat before her.
"Are they supposed to be friendly?" Luna wryly commented as the ogre rushed towards her, its massive form casting a shadow over her. With a thunderous roar, the creature lunged forward and seized Luna in its enormous hand, lifting her off the ground with surprising ease.
Luna's heart pounded with fear as she struggled against the ogre's grip, but its strength was overwhelming. With a powerful heave, the ogre hurled Luna across the cell, sending her crashing into the stone wall with a bone-jarring impact.
"Luna!" Danielle cried out, her voice filled with concern, as she watched her friend collide with the unforgiving surface. Rushing forward, she pressed her palms against the cold bars of the cell, desperate to reach Luna's side.
