One by one, the fairies headed to their rooms, ready for a good night's sleep. However, their peaceful night was abruptly interrupted by a piercing scream emanating from Artemisia and Carissa's rooms.

Startled and alarmed, the other girls quickly rushed to see what had happened. They found Carissa trembling and sobbing in Artemisia's arms, who was trying her best to console her.

"Is everything okay?" Danielle asked, her voice filled with concern as the others gathered around.

"Carissa had a bad dream," Artemisia explained, gently rubbing Carissa's back.

"I did but then I woke up and..." Carissa paused, her voice shaking with fear. "I saw it. A monster—it looked so hideous, like something out of a nightmare. It slithered away through the walls."

The girls exchanged worried glances, the weight of Carissa's words sinking in. Crystal kneeled beside her, taking her hand. "Carissa, can you describe it more? What exactly did you see?"

Carissa took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "It had glowing red eyes and a twisted, monstrous face. Its body was long and serpentine, covered in dark scales. It moved so quickly, I barely had time to react before it disappeared through the wall."

"Did it seem real?" Luna asked gently. "Like it was actually there in the room with you?"

"It felt real," Carissa said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I could feel its presence. It was like it was watching me."

"Really? Are you sure, Carissa?" Lithia asked, her brow furrowing in concern.

"I am being serious," Carissa insisted, her eyes wide with fear.

"Okay," Danielle said firmly. "Let's check around. If there's something lurking around, we have to find out what it is and stop it."

The girls began searching the room, checking every corner and crevice for any signs of the monster Carissa had described. They moved cautiously, their senses heightened, but after several minutes of thorough searching, they found nothing.

"Look, maybe we should try this again tomorrow," Luna said, stifling a yawn. "I'm so tired."

"Yeah, we've looked everywhere," Lithia agreed, her voice heavy with fatigue. "Let's get some rest and tackle this with fresh eyes in the morning."

The girls went back to their rooms. Carissa still felt on edge, and Artemisia noticed her unease.

"Are you still bothered?" Artemisia asked gently.

"I don't know," Carissa replied, her voice filled with uncertainty. "Did I hallucinate the whole thing? Maybe it was just a dream?"

Artemisia stood up from her bed and joined Carissa on hers. "Well," she began, sitting down beside her friend, "it did seem real to you. And sometimes, our instincts pick up on things we can't fully explain. Whatever it was, you are not alone."

Carissa nodded, feeling a bit reassured by Artemisia's presence. "Thanks, Artemisia. It just felt so real. I can't shake the feeling that something's not right."

"We'll get to the bottom of it," Artemisia promised. "But for now, try to get some rest."

Carissa took a deep breath and nodded again. "Okay, I'll try."

Artemisia stayed with Carissa until they both fell asleep. The dorm finally quieted down, and everyone settled into their rooms to rest. A few hours later, Danielle was woken up by the sound of Luna mumbling in her sleep.
