As classes concluded, the atmosphere at Alphea became filled with excitement in anticipation of the evening's event. The girls eagerly returned to their dorms to prepare for the gala, buzzing with excitement as they dressed up for the occasion.

"Do you think green is a flattering colour on me?" Crystal inquired as she experimented with makeup.

"I'm not sure about that," Artemisia exclaimed, shocked at Crystal's choice. "Let me lend you a hand with that."

As Artemisia stepped in to assist with Crystal's makeup, Carissa and Lithia were engrossed in selecting their outfits for the gala.

"What do you think of this dress?" Carissa held up a flowing seafoam-green gown.

"It looks stunning on you!" Lithia exclaimed, admiring the elegant design. "But perhaps gold accessories would really make it nice."

Carissa nodded in agreement, appreciating Lithia's fashion advice. Meanwhile, Danielle and Luna were browsing through Luna's wardrobe, trying to find the perfect outfit for the evening.

"How about this dress?" Luna held up a shimmering gown in a deep blue hue, adorned with delicate silver embroidery.

"It's beautiful, Luna," Danielle remarked, sitting on her bed with a small smile as she watched her friend get ready.

Luna glanced over at Danielle, noticing her lack of preparation. "What about you? Don't you have a dress?" She asked, curious about Danielle's attire.

"I'll pass on the whole thing, but you look great though," Danielle remarked.

"What?" Luna's voice squeaked with disbelief. "You're not attending?"

"Events like this make me self-conscious," Danielle confessed.

Luna folded her arms, a determined expression on her face. "Well, I'm not going without you."

"But Daniel will be there," Danielle teased with a smile.

"I don't care," Luna huffed. "If you're not going, I'm not going."

At that moment, the other girls burst into their room. "Are you ladies ready or not?" Crystal exclaimed.

"Danielle said she's not attending," Luna informed her.

Their eyes widened in surprise. "What? Why not?"

"I just don't feel up to it," Danielle replied, feeling a bit guilty for disappointing her friends.

"Come on, Danielle. You can't miss out on all the fun," Luna protested.

"Yeah, Luna's got a point. Plus, we'll all be there to keep you company," Artemisia chimed in, trying to convince Danielle to change her mind.

Danielle hesitated, feeling torn between her desire to avoid social events and her friends' insistence.

"Are you sure you don't want to join us, Dani?" Carissa asked, holding up a dress for Danielle to see.

"Yeah, come on, it'll be fun!" Crystal chimed in, trying to convince her.

"I'm not really in the mood either, but hey, who can resist the idea of free snacks?" Lithia added with a grin, trying to lighten the mood.

"Alright, fine," Danielle relented with a sigh. "Let's go, but just for a little while."
