At Cloud Tower, after their classes for the day, the witches spent the remainder of their time in detention as their punishment for breaking into Alphea and getting into a fight with the fairies.
During detention, the witches were tasked with menial chores and extra assignments under the watchful eye of their teachers. Despite their grumbling and attempts at rebellion, they had no choice but to comply, knowing that any further defiance would only lead to harsher consequences. As they begrudgingly completed their tasks, a sense of frustration and resentment lingered among them, fueling their determination to seek revenge on the fairies who had thwarted their plans at Alphea.
"Those fairies, just wait until I'm out of here. I'm coming for them and their wretched little fairy school," Scarlett grumbled as the three girls scraped gum from under the furniture in a classroom.
"Well, if it wasn't for your dumb plan, we wouldn't be in this mess," Tasma mocked, pointing the scraper at Scarlett.
"Like your feeble brains could come up with anything better," Scarlett retorted angrily.
"Hey, keep it down. Do you want the duty teacher to catch us?" Electra complained.
"Well, well, it's a bit late to try being a model student now, Electra," Tasma turned to her.
"Shut up, Tasma!" Electra snapped. Just then, the classroom door opened, and Amara walked in. The witches looked stunned.
"Sorry, I thought the room was empty. Enjoy scraping, guys," she taunted before leaving.
"That fool," Tasma seethed. "I want to turn her into a frog or something."
"No magic while we're serving punishment," Electra reminded them.
"Could you two just stop talking for a moment? I just had an idea," Scarlett said.
"Another one of your bound-to-fail schemes," Tasma mocked, and Scarlett threw her scraper at Tasma but missed.
"Enough with the insults," Electra interjected, catching Scarlett's arm before she could throw anything else. "What's your idea, Scarlett?"
"Alright, hear me out," Scarlett began, her eyes gleaming with determination. "We need to recruit that brute."
"What?" the girls exclaimed, clearly disliking the notion.
"Listen, we can't leave Cloud Tower to search for the other half of the talisman because of this bracelet thingy. We'll need to use someone else to do it for us," Scarlett continued.
"Seriously?" Tasma gawked at Scarlett.
"Just trust me," Scarlett chuckled confidently.
"How could we persuade her to do it? And how would she obtain it for us?" Electra inquired.
"I've got a better plan this time," Scarlett laughed confidently.

The next day, immediately after their class, the three girls hurried to catch up with Amara.
"Hey, wait up!" Scarlett called out to her. Amara turned around, her expression unimpressed, as she noticed the witches approaching.
"Oh, it's the gunk scrapers," she remarked, a mocking laugh escaping her lips. Despite Amara's taunt, the witches plastered fake smiles on their faces, pretending to appreciate her expensive jokes.
"So, what's this about? Don't you have more punishments to serve?" Amara scoffed.
"We need to speak with you privately," Scarlet said, leading Amara to an empty classroom.
