Author's note: Hi! Now that we have this new Avadis mind thing going on I thought I would change the way I write the 'voices' from now. If the text is in bold  they are thoughts (or voices in her mind) that are not her own. Hopefully this will help it be a little less confusing to read! Sorry if it has been so far.

...

"Help! Gandalf!"

The two hear the cry coming from the inside of the hall. Avadis shot up and looked at Legolas, pushing her fears aside as best she could as they ran into the back room of the hall, Aragorn not far ahead of them. Pippin was writhing in pain on the floor, holding a flaming Palantir in his arms. His eyes were red and sweat was forming on his brow. I see you. Come to me. "Pippin!" Avadis screamed, trying to run towards him before being pushed aside by Aragorn. He took the Palantir from the hobbit before falling to the ground in pain, Pippin fell away and lay on the floor. Elessar. Elessar. Elendil. I see you. Avadis stumbled back, her stomach sick and her head dizzy, holding her arms over her stomach. Run! Close your mind!

Aragorn let out a loud cry and dropped the Palatir to the ground, where it was quickly covered by Gandalf. Her mind became silent. She blinked once, twice, and her vision began to return. The first thing she saw was Pippin lying on the ground. "Oh no" she whispered. She stumbled over and lifted his head into her lap, pushing his hair away to see his eyes frozen open, staring at the ceiling in fear.

"Fool of a Took!" Gandalf yelled. Avadis looked up at him with desperation, shaking her head at him. Now was not the time for a lecture. In an instant, Gandalf was beside her, he held his hand over his eyes and muttered under his breath words in an ancient tongue she did not understand. Come on Pip. She held his hand desperately searching for signs of life.

Pippin sprung up, gasping for breath. "Gandalf?" he asked in fright, looking around the room. His hands were trembling as he clung onto Avadis. "Gandalf forgive me"

Gandalf's eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the hobbit. "What did you see?"

...

Gandalf spoke with Pippin for the rest of the night and into the morning. The company sat impatiently in the great hall, waiting to hear what Pippin had seen. Avadis paced up and down the stone floor in deep reflection on what had taken place. What is wrong with me? She did not understand. What are these voices in my mind? Why do I feel such emotion?  Was it Sauron? Was it herself? She did not know, and it scared her. Never before had she felt such a way. She thought back to when she was younger, when Sauron had taken the skies as he had done tonight. Did she feel like this then? She could not remember, so she continued to pace the floors to decide what must be done.

"There was no lie in Pippin's eyes" Gandalf announced as he and Pippin walked into the room. Everyone spun to look at him, anticipating the worst. Gandalf sighed and looked down at Pippin. "A fool, but an honest fool he remains. He told Sauron nothing of Frodo and the Ring."

Gimli let out a loud sigh of relief. Pippin went and sat quietly next to Merry, and gave a small smile to Avadis. He was scared. Gandalf walked over to the king, "we've been strangely fortunate. What Pippin saw in the Palantir was a glimpse of our enemy's plan."

He sat on a nearby bench and looked over everyone. "Sauron moves to strike the city of Minas Tirith. His defeat at Helm's Deep showed our enemy one thing. The heir of Elendil has come forth. Men are not as weak as he supposed. There is courage still, strength enough left to challenge him"

Elendil. That was what the voice had said. The memory sent a shiver down her spine.

"If the beacons of Gondor are lit, Rohan must be ready for war!"
