Avadis' body shivered from head to toe, shaking with cold but burning inside with anger. She shakily rose to her feet, watching the battle around her in slow motion. "I need to go" she whispered aloud, taking a breath out of desperation to bring herself back to reality. In the distance she caught the eye of Gandalf who was shielding the hobbits desperately from a large orc. She shook her head slowly to him, a tear rolling down her cheek. Dropping her sword to the side, she forced her legs to carry herself towards the gates of Mordor, her path feeling easier with each step she took.

Good. Come to me and I will make you more powerful than you could ever imagine

"No!" A hand tugged on her shoulder and flung her backwards. In a daze Avadis cried out in surprise and drew her dagger in her hand, pressing it up against her attacker's body. Her eyes darted around her, trying to distinguish who it was infront of her, but her vision had all but left her.

"Leave me!" She cried out in fear, her eyes darting around frantically, "I am not myself! Leave me alone or I will hurt you!" She tried desperately to warn her captor, whoever they be. Every word of warning she spoke only increased the agony she was in, taking all her energy to refrain her hand from pressing the dagger through their skin.

Kill. Kill. Kill.

Avadis' eyes could no longer focus, her ears barely able to hear. The figure infront of her was all but a blur of light and colour. All around her moved in slow motion, his evil eye watching over every action, every breath, every thought that entered her mind.

"Put down the dagger!" She heard the voice speak again, strong hands gripping at her shoulders and shaking her almost lifeless body, trying to wake her from her trance. Her eyes wandered aimlessly around her, trying to focus on something, anything that would take her back to reality. And yet despite her best efforts, her hand gripped ever tighter to her dagger.

Kill. Kill. Kill.

Her captor tightened their grip on her and it felt as though she could no longer breathe. A new emotion took over. She was scared. "I will kill you!" She screamed in her captor's face and brought the dagger up higher, pressing it into their neck and gritting her teeth, her eyes wild with anger and rage. The blade pressed deeper, her hand shaking, barely able to control herself a moment longer. "If you want to live let me go!"

"You don't mean that" the voice spoke, but this time it was further away. "Avadis please"

Come to me. Come to...

Sauron's voice felt to be swept away as a new, stronger sensation swept across her body. Avadis froze, eyes widened in fear, her vision returning to her along with her mind like a breath of fresh air.

Legolas stooped down and pressed his lips against hers, one hand in her hair the other at her waist holding her tightly against him despite the dagger she held against him. Avadis breathed out in a long sigh, closing her eyes a moment to enjoy the silence in her mind before returning his kiss, gentle yet firm and full of love and concern. "Legolas" she whispered up to him, forehead pressed against his own as they looked into eachother's eyes, just for a moment she felt as though it was possible to be happy again. "Avadis" he breathed out her name as if it was a song, a smile of relief appearing on his face. Slowly her mind began returning to her, and she leant back slightly to look into his face, eyes tracing over his hair, eyes, mouth and chin, taking in every detail her blurry vision had robbed her of. "Legolas I..." a red line ran down his neck and onto her hand, and she looked in horror at the dagger she held pressed into his skin before quickly dropping it to the ground and stumbling away from him in terror. "What have I done??"
