Thing's Pov:
It's been officially 4 days since Wednesday and you haven't talked and it was causing him to chip his own nails! HIS PRECIOUS NAILS!!!
Yesterday Atredis, flew through the open window to report that you had gained complete consciousness. Wednesday forced herself not to go to your room and act like the news didn't cause the weight on her shoulders become lighter.
It was clear as the night sky that she wanted to run to be by your side for she kept glancing out the window towards the direction of yout tower. But once again her stubbornness that was being puppeteered by her pride to prove her mother wrong was preventing her from doing what she actually wanted.
And as her loyal friend and devoted servant it was his duty to make sure she was happy! But also see through the promise he made to her father about making sure she actually lived a true High school experience like he did when he went to Nevermore. So far the murder stuff was covered. But the romance.... it was taking a while.
Wednesday had feelings for you. If she didn't she wouldn't be staying up late, waiting by the window for Atredis to appear with news, staying up late looking at the Queen Pawn you gave her. Have the now dead black tulips under her pillow and gripping them when she falls asleep within her toss and turns. Most importantly she wouldn't have tried cut ties with you to keep you safe. What your friends had said about her putting you in danger clearly showed she cared for you because if she didn't she would've been waterboarding your unconscious self awake to help her finish the case. She is trying to protect you.
If that wasn't enough evidence then whatever happened inside the container which caused her to lose complete composure of herself as seen through her maturating and nearly crying when you were being tortured proved that you had stolen her so-called cold black heart.
But also she kept touching her lips.
Yet here she was avoiding you. Yesterday when you woke up you went to find her. You were waiting at the door of her science class in all your glory. Upon seeing you, she froze. Nothing on her moved- not even her lungs! However, she was able to escape you due to the mob of people that swarmed you since you had been missing from the public eye for three whole days. She used that obstacle to her advantage and ran to her room. She didn't let you enter and when you did manage to enter thanks to Enid, she climbed out the window. Leaving both you and Enid completely confused. Of course you jumped down with ease. Hence ensuring a game of tag.
Sadly, you gave up upon realizing that Wednesday didn't want to talk to you. Seeing that you gave up, Wednesday's panic only increased. You weren't planning on falling into her game. Nor was he!
Hence, why he was currently running down the empty hall with some of the case files being chased by none other than Wednesday.
He was going to force her to talk to you one way or the other. Even if it meant that he had to forgive Atredis for slapping him and bruising his smooth skin!
Y/N POV:
The greenhouse was as misty as the outside world. But unlike the world on the other side of the glass cage, the greenhouse never changed its colors. The leaves never became yellow, orange, or red to later become brown with death. Nor did it ever replace what it had lost. The only time the plants in the small caged forest changed was when its masters allowed it and it was changed to the way they wanted, not the way nature wanted. Its current master Miss Thornhill had decided to place Jimson weed within the tamed woods. The white flower stood out like a fallen Angel among humans seeking salvation for it's snowy white and sun-shaped petals flirted with admirers to get closer to it and pick it. Only to drag people into the nothingness of death through its poisonous body.
