My dear readers, we are reaching the end to this fic- well part 1 till season 2 comes out! Any predictions on what will happen? Only a few more chapters left!

Y/N's Pov:

Glancing down from the balcony over the ocean of families, you try to find your parents among the waves of chatter. Going up and down the court yard your E/C eyes move to the flood gates the main entrance had become. There you see Wednesday's family walk-through with nostalgic faces. Tugging behind them is a nervous yet excited boy who you assume must be Pugsley, Wednesday's little brother who she states she loves to torture. But from the stories she told you, it sounded like she wanted to make him stronger for she wasn't always going to be there to protect him. Sure she would waterboard and electrocute him all the time- but the way her eyes would soften the longer she spoke about him, it was clear that she was worried about him being in the normie school all by himself. No one stood up for him- not even the teachers. It angered you how people who were expected to protect and look after their students chose not to do it because he was different than them.

Fucking bastards. Can't help but wonder if I had helped Evelynn with her plan would things been better? You shake your head and bury it into your hands. No... I would've made things worse. Fear isn't the way to get people to change.

You see Pugsely hug Wednesday tightly. A sad smile graces your lips as sadness hugs you from behind with your dead brother's face. If we had found each other sooner than we did would things been different? Or would I have killed you sooner than later Fredrick?

"Y/N?"

You turn and see your best friend, she looks nervous. You sigh and pat her shoulder. You knew they weren't coming, they never did. They would always send one of their men to spend time with you to make it up, but it was to prevent their image from tarnishing.

Did it bother you? Yes, it made you feel like you were trapped in a well that people kept glancing down but chose not to help you escape. Instead, that would dump cold water into it no matter what you shouted. Sometimes it even felt like someone would put a lid on it just to silence you. Ever since you were a child it was the same thing, with or without the title and accomplishments they never threw you a hand to grab onto or even a word. Sometimes I wonder if I was born because they were told to have a child to carry on the title within the bloodline.

One final glance at Wednesday who was clearly already attacking her parents you left. Atredis flew off the ramp to stick close to Wednesday.

Hope she doesn't ask him to murder her parents you sweat drop as you move through the dark corridors to see which assistant your parents had sent you this time. Bet it's his right hand again- probably wants-

Immediately opening the door to the office you and your best friend bolt into it, close the door quickly and kneel. Bowing your heads against your knees.

"We welcome the father and protector of the children of the night."

A joyful laugh eases the heaviness in your heart. "Please my children arise."

Getting up you smile and you to walk into your Godfather's arms. Taking in the sweet smell of chocolate and blood radiating off his costume. Never in a million years did you ever think to see him wearing the crest of your family and face-altering makeup with a dash of magic.

"Guess I need to get better at my disguises if you were able to pinpoint me in a second!" he laughs once more, ending the hug but not letting go of your shoulders. Taking in your face slowly.

There his eyes full of mischief and disobedience mirror your eye color, it was the only thing that stayed the same. A gaze that never changed no matter how much magic, makeup, or even if he ever used surgery.
