The song is "Die for You" by the Weekend
Wednesday's Pov:
Many say that the first impression is important, both for people and places. If that is true then the Nevermore ballroom had failed tremendously for the dancers decore looked like a White Christmas had puked it drunken guts into the room with cheap licore.
All around the room was white curtains that would've looked elegant if it weren't for the massive glowing plastic ice walls placed in front of them. Lighting that clashed with the small golden fairy lights strung in random parts of the room hence failing at deliveryIng the illusion of the Blue hour in winter. But also the golden chairs which should've been silver or some cool color. There was a bit of fog in the room which did cover some of the golden chairs but with all the movement in the room the thickness disappeared and made it look like a dollar store fog machine was making them.
Lastly but not least, a huge white monster was standing right behind the DJ with dark red eyes. Yet the way the fake ice was arranged and the stiff posture made the sculpture appear like a student made it instead of a professional artist.
How insensitive thought Wednesday as Tyler held her limp hand. There's a monster out there and they dare to put this? A student was killed by it.
"Sooo want to dance?" Tyler asks as he's already pulling her to the dance floor. The dance floor that was currently a human wall and cheers for something was going on at the center of it.
Hope it's a gladiator pit. She thinks as the prepy boy leads the way. But much to her disappointment it wasn't. Instead it was a dance battle. Currently, Bianca's minion who she gave a black eye too was doing some ridiculous move that she would see kids her old school do. Never did I think I would see that stupid video game moves here.
In front of him was a tall and well build dirty blonde with blue eyes in a white button up who threw himself on the ground to break dance. It was clear that he was the Crown Prince due to how the siren boy reacted along with the crowd. Just behind Dimitri yelling at him to win the battle was you dressed in all white.
You wore a crop top corset that cupped your chest well and hugged your upper waist well which made your core pop out more. The skirt hovered a 8 inches above the knee, allowing your tone thighs to show their true strength. The skirt unlike the crop corset was a bit looser which made your bottom and hips look slightly wider than they were already. Lastly, you had a short blazer that had no buttons or cuffs. At first glance one would think it was a leather jacket. In summary the club suit made your athletic body be known to the world making all ogle at it like starved animals. She was one of those but unlike the others she found the smile you wore to be breathtaking. It was so bright, light, and happy like you had found freedom at long last. A smile on you that she had never seen- a smile that was bestowed upon the prince. One she was forced to see the whole night as she forced herself to dance in high heels.
From across the dance floor she would see you laughing and talking to the Prince as he would swirl you around dramatically at times or pick you up to do some complicated move that you knew so well. The way the music moved through the both of you was as if it was already in your bones even if the style drastically changed. Both of you were so in synced with each other to the point no one dared to break the connection- not even the two of you. Just like her eyes kept their gaze on you.
"Wow, are they professional dancers or something? They dance so well with each other!" laughed Tyler as bystanders gave him the stink eye for not knowing who
either of you.
"No, but they would be unstoppable if they were. Especially if they were partners" said some random student.
