Wednesday's Pov:

The past hours had been nothing more but a slow painful boring death for Wednesday. From having to see her parents cling onto each other as if they were each other's life support to being dragged to a therapy session that went down hill immediately.

Funny how things are. Wednesday hated it when people- including you asked her questions that dug into territory she chose to ignore within her yet she enjoyed doing it to others. Her mother was just like that. When she brought up the old murder case that her father was still a suspect of her mother went from being the sweet dulce woman to being defensive and cold even though they were in a place that shined a limelight on Wednesday's personal life. Guess now the doctor can see why her mother drives her up a wall.

Now sitting in Eugene's room she was able to recollect herself a bit. At least her sanity for the hole inside her refused to close. It just grew deeper and wider, reminding her what she did to Eugene. Making her feel cold, but a type of cold that was dreadful. Reminding her how the dead feel like- how Eugene could've ended up like. "It should be me that's in that bed."

"I wouldn't allow it."

Turning around she sees you leaning against the wall with the shadows letting go of you. You had used your ability to enter the room. In two strides your by her side and kissing her hand. Giving her the much needed warmth she would never admit she needed.

Upon letting go you take the warmth in her hands but leave a faint of it on her cheeks. "Is everything okay?"

"No. How much would I have to pay you to rip my throat apart?" You choke on air and drown in the red blush boiling on your face.

"Hehe cute- no." With a sigh she tells you a bit of what had happened. From the reunion to Weems' awkward attacks on her mother and her mother brushing them off by showing off to the therapy session. She chose not to go into depth about the murder case involving her father, you had enough on your plate because of her.

"Wait, Weems and your mother used to be roommates?"

"Yes. I would've killed myself the first second of sharing a room with my mother." she rolls her eyes. However, she catches the deep-thought look you gave before a light bulb sparked to life. Clearly, the information had filled the missing piece to a puzzle you were trying to solve. "What's the matter? Family issues as well? Or something else?"

"Uh- oh nothing like that. My parents aren't here like always- just their assistant." The flash of sorrow doesn't go unnoticed. Just like the thunder shakes the Earth to let all know about the lightning that had struck, you current brief sorrow told her that your relationship with your parents wasn't a good one. But unlike her's your's had left scars. How dare they inflict pain on you.

"I was just thinking about how Weems actions towards you makes sense. She looking after a... friends kid?"

Something tells me there's more to that. She thinks about the hatred that Weem's eyes burns her mother vs the empty longing looks she gives her father. It was clear she was in love with her father but in the end her mother had won him over and now her pure existence was just rubbing salt into the wound like her parent's affection was. I wonder if I would get the same looks from people if they knew about us?

She glances at your deep in thought face. Taking in detail notes on how your brows frown, how your eyes droop, and how your nose sniffs, and scrunches. She hadn't noticed until now that you lightly nib at your lower lip. Possibly trying to keep your mind grounded before you could drift further away into theories and hypotheses of the world inside you head. Did you always look this innocent?
