Chapter 45: Haunted Mansion

Wednesday's POV:

The things I do for love! Thinks Wednesday as she tells Enid about having a girl's night out after seeing it was time to go on her fake date with Tyler. She knew that after tonight all answers to the case would be answered. Allowing her to keep you safe like she promised along with her friends. It would allow her to focus on preventing you from walking off the path of good. She would be damned if she's the one who leads you down that path due to her current actions.

As Enid got ready for their spontaneous hangout Wednesday quickly pulled her her suitcase. In their was change of clothes that would last her four days in case you had to stay in Transylvania longer than expected. In there she had the very black vintage dress you brought her for the Rave'N. The very dress that marked the beginning of her relationship with you. She was going to make it up to you. Either through the trip or the letter Thing would send to you while she solves this case. One way or the other, she would be back by your side and explain everything.

"Make sure nothing is missing. Oh and don't think about packing a camera, I will throw you at the wolves if I see one in there when I get back." she whispers to Thing who was packing the last of his things in a little backpack. His fingers sagged at her commande but bowed in understanding.

"Ready?" shouts Enid with a bounce before asking Wednesday to wear her snood. No matter what she threw at the werewolf to avoid wearing it, Enid found counter attack. Truly she was rubbing off on the bubble girl and it was showing at the worse time. Putting on the black knitted snood she thought to herself the things she did for love.

That thought only kept appearing the entire car ride with Tyler's disappointed face on finding out it wasn't a date along with Enid's face of confusion on seeing Tyler and her of all people not going on a date with Tyler. Enid still didn't know about the relationship so whenever she could she would spam her blog about how the two of you would be a powerful couple. Ship name Woe and Shadows.

Ironically, she was right on both ends. You both made a powerful couple. And indeed the relationship was in the shadows and involved a lot of it along with woes.

Soon the haunted house of the day before came into view.

"We should've asked Y/N to come with us! She knows how to fight!" whimpers Enid they all walked through the overgrown path. The branches at night reminded the ravenette of the dead reaching out for her in her vision. A shiver ran through her bones that made her run towards the garage. Yet, at the same time the dark branches reminded her on how the shadows would reach out to you whenever you activated your ability.

Entering the garage the light blue car that hit the mayor welcomed them. Enid yet again mentioned your name for the night was taking a darker turn than expected. "Tyler's dad or Y/N- or Tyler's dad or-or Y/N"

"Hey, hey breath. Breath." says Tyler putting a hand on her shoulder. Enid nodded and did as she was told.

Just as I expected. This place holds the answers to everything, the longer she checked the car the bigger her smile grew. The car had a dent for hitting the Mayor along with some blood stains.

"So both of them can get me expelled no thanks" states Wednesday, marching towards the door leading to the house. If this massive clue was found then what other massive clues could be found in the main building!?

"Yup this is the night I'm gonna die." states Tyler as Enid whimpers. Her flashlight shook as it helped lighten Wednesday's path into the dusty house. So dusty that it could fool anyone into thinking no one has used it yet the car begged to differ.
