This is my first fanfic- sorry for the cringe. ALSO AVAILABLE ON TUMBLR UNDER MY SAME USERNAME!!

Y/N Pov:

"Wait, wait- you're saying that all of this happened in the span of a few days?" you exclaim as you look up from the documents you read in the back of the limousine. "This plus more monster attacks?"

Your best friend who was also your right hand only shook her head. You could only sigh as you bump your head against your seat's headrest with your eyes closed. You could feel another migraine coming your way once again.

"Nevermore, Nevermore, Nevermore- I could never ask you to give me more work because you always give it to me without me asking" you mumble to yourself. Your only response was a chuckle from B/F/N as she sip the last bit of her blood pack.

"I mean, we were gone for three week-"

"And that's the problem! The two murders before Rowan's attack have proably gone cold and whatever could be a clue to that monster was probably already tampered with by that stupid sheriff or worse- whoever is pulling the strings. I'm telling you, there's something odd about this. The sooner we figure out what's happening the better it will be for all of us- especially for our clan"

B/F/N flick your nose in a playful way to drag you out of whatever storm of thoughts was ripping through your mind that was causing you to trip on guilt. She knew you hated when people flick your nose and just like always your E/C eyes practically tore into her soul.

"By dear precious Earl, it is not your fault those humans died because you weren't even in America, to begin with- you were in Switzerland advocating for academies like Nevermore to help fellow outcasts like us. Please do not think that what you did was bad- your actions at the UN called for unity and you were successful" she said as she look dead serious into your eyes.

What she said was true. You couldn't prevent the deaths because your duties as a distant member of the royal Vampire family had summoned you to attend the annual United Nations meetings where you spoke as a young outcast student showing how outcast academies like Nevermore have a positive impact on local economies and help humans and outcasts, especially those who weren't human like yourself coexist. But if you were being honest you wanted didn't want to make a school specifically for outcasts- you wanted to make a school that had outcasts and normies attending at the same time. Attending class and sleeping under the same roof. A school that did this from a young age of first grade till senior year of high school to help the young generation break free from the speciest thoughts many adults had. Because at the end of the day, the younger generation is the future of the world and were the key to peace and unity.

But of course, people always laughed at such ideas and called you naive. You had no choice but to find the middle ground and you were lucky to have even found one that was successful.

"I guess your right..... I'm just glad Headmaster Weems has been able to keep these cases in the shadows. That would've screwed everything"

"Well his majesty- your Godfather does donate a large sum to the academy and is a huge investor in this sad town. I doubt they would want to get in odds with you which would cause the large sum of money to disappear" she said as she began to fix her turtle neck and plain black skirt to look presentable. "Plus you're an Earl for the Vampire court- not the human one. Your main goal is to protect us which you're doing an amazing job at.

You only sighed and look once again at the reports one of your human devotees managed to gather going based on basic information of the cases. But when it came to what was happening behind the dark castle academy's walls the person you could somewhat trust was your werewolf friend Enid thanks to her gossip blog. Sure rumors and gossip weren't always the best way to get information but there was always some truth hidden within and most importantly the story had to come from somewhere and that somewhere knew something. Either they were twisting the truth or knew a bit of it and were just concluding something. Never the less always helpful to keep an ear open on what the halls and streets whisper- especially the shadows.

You look out the window and couldn't help but smile. It was cold and rainy outside. Ever since you were a child you loved to watch the raindrops slide down the window like shooting stairs in the makeshift mini universe the water made against the glass as it captured the early morning light. "All I know is that we have a lot of work to do B/F/N. Our first course of action will be sneaking yet again into the morgue to see the bodies and install more cameras in the forest since it seems the monster's hunting ground has expanded more. Or maybe it has gotten more confident in revealing its territory. Next to figure ou what that girl saw-"

"Wednesday Adams" piped up B/F/N as she recalled what Enid had said during your last face time call.

You just hummed. The infamous Wednesday Adams- the hot topic of Nevermore currently. For once you or Bianca weren't in everyone's mouths.

Wednesday Adams.... I wonder what role you will play in this little game of punishment. Are you an ally or an enemy? You wondered as you snap your fingers to summon one of the demons you had a contract with. B/F/N scooted away from you as an ashy grey hand with black veins appeared out of thin air. "Hide these documents and if you could please confirm the rumors Enid had said about her roommate Wednesday Adams. Thank you."

With a flick that appeared like a bow the hand of the demon disappeared into then air. You glance from the corner of your eye to find your friend looking terrified as she told you she preferred you used your normal shadow manipulation magic instead of the demonic contracts you had forged. You only chuckled as your limousine and the rest of your entourage came into view of your little playground.

But before you could relax before chaos began you heard a whisper in your ear from the demon you had entrusted the job on. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE RUMORS OF HER UNLEASHING PIRANHA FISH IN THE SCHOOL POOL IS TRUE?! WHAT A WOMAN!!!!"
