3 days later...

Nasa park ako ngayon habang naglalakad-lakad lang sa paligid, I glanced at my watch as I realized I was too early.

Ethan told me to meet him dito sa park nato. Sa park na kung saan nagkakikila ang mga magulang ko at kung saan palagi kaming tumatambay ni Denxel noong senior highschool pa kami, which surprises me that he knew about this place too. He wanted to tell me something important. 

Huminga ako ng malalim habang naghihintay sa kaniya. Medyo na a-awkward akong makita siya ulit ever since pagkatapos namin mag-break. I feel like I'm the bad one here..

Suddenly I heard someone clearing their throat kaya napalingon agad ako at nadatnan ko si Ethan standing right in front of me, his hands in his pockets while looking at me as he smiled. "Hey Hyuna.. it's been awhile wasn't it?" 

Tinitigan ko lang ito not until I smiled back at him trying to act normal. "Hi Ethan.. kamusta na?" Mahinang tanong ko sa kaniya, can't help but to feel embarrassed inside. 

"I'm good, and you?" Sagot at tanong niya pabalik sa akin.

Tumango lang ako. "Okay lang." Sagot ko as I glanced at him and smiled.

"So.. how's going on with you and Mr. CEO?" Tanong ni Ethan sa akin while slightly smiling. He always acts as if nothing happened between us.

Well honestly speaking after we saw each other sa airport 3 days ago I was so surprised as I never expected to see him again at magiging kami na ulit after so many years when we broke up and now we are back again.

 "Um.. ayun okay lang, all good.."  Sagot ko sa kaniya.

"Good.." He responded back habang tumatango tango.

Napatingin ako sa kaniya as I remembered why we are here for. "Um.. why do you want to meet me here?" Tanong ko sa kaniya as I really want to get out of here ASAP.

"Oh.. yeah, I just wanted to tell you that I'm going back to States after a week." Sagot ni Ethan sabay hawak niya sa kaniya leeg while slowly rubbing it.

Napataas ako ng dalawang kilay sa pagtataka but then I soften my expression. "Oh.. so paano niyan pag-aaral mo dito?" Tanong ko sa kaniya not to make the situation more awkward.

"Actually I've already informed them na aalis ako." Sagot ni Ethan as he smiled.

"Ahhh.. Okay.." Sagot ko habang tumatango tango at nakangiti.

"Yes.. and I wanted to tell and ask you something personal before I go." Seryosong sagot niya sa akin while looking deeply unto my eyes.

Tinitigan ko lang si Ethan while waiting for his response.

Huminga ito ng malalim bago magsalita. "After everything that has happened between us Hyuna, I've already accepted defeat simula noong highschool tayo and till now after our break-up.." Wika ni Ethan then he stepped a bit forward to me. "And before I go.. I wonder if... we can still be friends despite our bittersweet past?" He softly requested habang nakayuko ito without any reaction, but in his eyes he's a bit shy..

While staring at him I found myself smiling, I wish someday he would be loved the way he loves someone so affectionate and genuinely. "Why not?" 

Bigla niyang inangat ang ulo niya patingin sa akin as his eyes widened bit. "Really?" Tanong niya sa akin na hindi makapaniwala.

I chuckled while nodding my head. "Oo nga!" I repeated myself to assure if his doubting it.

Napakurap-kurap ito but then he smirks while nodding his head. "If that's so, let's stay in contact then. As friends."
