Auf Wiedersehen
AN: Surprisingly quite a long chapter actually with some lovely cute moments which totally make sense timeline wise– haha :)
Eliza had taken Emmy to the closest park as it was a really nice day out. It was only about a twenty minute drive seeing as they didn't live very close to the town but Eliza hadn't actually ever been there before.
But apparently Emmy had and she was more than happy to swing on the swings and get Eliza to spin her on the roundabout. The woman found it extremely easy to just sit there with a cup of coffee and just watch as she walked between equipment to equipment.
She didn't speak to other mother’s on the park benches and was more than happy to keep her head down and just listen into their conversations.
Apparently Susan was a ‘right bitch from hell’ who was always telling them how to parent their child despite the fact her child was a ‘gremlin’.
Now, Eliza had absolutely zero clue who these two women were or even who Susan was but she gave them their own little story in their head.
Now the blonde lady had never worked a day in her life, very much married rich and became a snobby rich woman who had no idea what to do with this newfound luxury and often got bored and had many affairs.
Then the brunette lady was pretty much the opposite but liked to live vicariously through the blonde lady. Her husband was almost constantly at work and often got pressured to cheat on her husband but ‘love conquers all’ (Eliza assumed that that would have been her catchphrase).
However Susan was an extreme version of the blonde lady. She was the one who would take all extracurricular activities to an extreme, yelling at coaches or referees when her child lost and definitely coddled her child. Oh no they committed arson? Oh her poor babies they must have been provoked!
But Eliza was so caught up in listening to these women and creating their own story that she didn't notice Emmy falling over and cutting her knees.
It was actually one of the women who caught her attention saying, “Ugh, I could never imagine letting my child fall over when the mother hasn't even noticed.”
She must have barely looked away for thirty seconds and that sentence really irritated her that she did something she, looking back, was a slight bit ashamed of, but she slightly strengthened the air around their children, pushing them over (not enough so they were severely hurt just enough to make them a little upset).
But Eliza walked over to Emmy, picking her up so she wouldn't have to walk hurting her knees any further if it was really that bad, carrying her over to the car.
She made sure to look over at the women just as she got to the car about a minute later and neither of them were even paying attention to their crying children who were directly in front of them.
Deep down Eliza was extremely panicked, she knew it wasn't serious at all but of course she did blame herself. She should have been there in the moment and seen it sooner, she should have tried to make sure to catch her before she fell.
Even when they did get home and she cleaned the slight bit of blood up, it turned out to only be a slight graze, the second James got back Eliza still seemed extremely panicked, not taking her eyes off of the girl in case she got hurt again.

Very quickly the only plan Lillith could think of was to get Mila and Five to tell them about what happened because there was absolutely zero way she was going back in there.
