The Harsh Reality of My Dreams
AN: You know what should be classed as a crime? Six episodes in season four. . . so you guys get two backstory chapter of what the six years looked like for both Mila and Lillith because I am so kind like that
They're probably going to be a little bit shorter because there’s no actual plot to go off but I love Mila and Lillith and they deserve documented character development (depression).
It had taken fourteen months after the universe reset but Lillith was finally happy.
Something she hadn't truly felt in so long, but she had her family and her family had her.
Her and Diego had a new house with four bedrooms that they let Five and Mila stay in one of them for a little while, as everyone got their lives sorted out.
Lillith managed to get in contact with Klaus and she offered to let him stay with the four of them in one of the bedrooms, but he very quickly denied after being told about the fact a baby would be there.
He had become a very bad germaphobe ever since they had lost their abilities, something which Lillith completely understood.
When she was a child, she didn't want her powers. Yes they were fun on occasion but then Hargreeves forced them to use them which drained so much of her energy and was extremely unsafe for all of them. She went through physical and psychological trauma because of what Hargreeves did to her.
But now she doesn't have them, she had been diagnosed with asthma because apparently breathing wasn't as easy as she had assumed.
It was quite ironic really, the girl who helped everyone else breathe now needed an inhaler if she was running around the house.
Lillith had given birth seven months ago to a baby girl, she and Diego named Grace Sloane Hargreeves after two of the women they loved most. And it was something she had dreamed about for years and something she had really wanted in her life, but it was draining.
And of course she knew it would have been draining, Lillith and Diego had both gone to parenting classes per her request and before she gave birth they were so confident but Lillith was a very anxious mother.
But they had so much support from the people around them.
It was really difficult for Luther at first to be able to live without Sloane and when he found out about his niece’s middle name he had cried for what felt like hours holding onto Lillith. He had offered to look after her but at that moment Lillith didn't feel comfortable with leaving her alone for even a few seconds.
Lillith knew she was rather overbearing with her parenting and yes she trusted Diego to look after their child, there were nights where Lillith didn't sleep and panicked that if she fell asleep something might happen to Gracie and she was petrified.
Despite Lillith’s panicked parenting Diego was an even better father than Lillith could have even imagined. He’d stuck with her through the first months where she knew looking back she was not being a very good partner. But he ignored that and he loved her just as much as before and cared for their daughter more than anything in the world.
Lillith didn't want to talk to Allison for a very long amount of time because of what she did, but at the end of the day Lillith knew she would have done the exact same. No one else really shared that thought process, but Lillith couldn't hold a grudge for too long.
She was a pawn used in Hargreeves’ game of chess and he played all of them, Allison just used it to her advantage. And Lillith loved Claire and Allison so having them around her was a great comfort.
