The Terminal Emos of the Academy
AN: Because it’s only the Umbrella’s that this season follows there’s literally so much stuff that happens in episodes so these chapters are extremely long and therefore take a lot of time to write so I apologise for the long wait between chapters.
I'm also changing the names of episodes to fit the theme
Lea knew something was wrong the second she woke up feeling like the house was on fire- she checked and it definitely wasn't.
The blankets piled up on her bed had been thrown off in the middle of the night and she sat sweating in a top and shorts.
It was the middle of winter and the windows were wide open yet she felt like she was being burnt alive– surely men stopped burning women a long time ago.
But when she walked around the house Freya was complaining about how cold she was and Gracie had a scarf wrapped around her neck as she sipped hot chocolate (more lukewarm chocolate to save her from burning herself).
But she definitely realised something was wrong when Lillith ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, clearly running late, and she didn't even take an exaggerated breath when she stood still.
And she was convinced something was absolutely wrong when she went back to her room about to put black leggings on to go to work and they burnt the second they lay in her hands. To make matters worse, that was her favourite pair.
What had happened to them?

Most of them gathered at the old academy, Klaus was still standing in his surgical masks and gloves and she tried not to laugh when she saw that Luther now had his ape body back- although that didn't make sense to her as that was an accident gone wrong.
But by that logic he also should have never lost the body type.
What did make her audibly laugh, however, was how Five looked like he was clearly going to be sick, obviously not being used to spatial jumping the way he used to.
Thankfully Lillith was there to cover her mouth from making her laughter too obvious.
“Someone explain what the hell is going on here quickly,” Viktor said as he stumbled into the room, looking a lot worse than the others.
Honestly only Diego and Lillith were looking like their usual selves which was extremely annoying as they would have had a pass claiming they had no time around the children to get ready.
Even Lea knew that she wasn't looking her very best, but it wasn't as bad as Luther and she repeated that like a prayer in her head.
“Well, Viktor, that's what we’re all trying to figure out,” Five mumbled.
“Oh God, don't look at me,” Luther gasped, wrapping the dressing gown around him as if that helped.
“It’s quite difficult not to look at you Luther, you're a lot broader now and you're wearing a robe,” Lillith mumbled hoping no one heard but the chuckles in the room told her otherwise.
“No one look at me, I’m hideous!” Luther shouted.
Lea didn't realise how bad his insecurities were about his accident before that moment– obviously she knew there must have been some underlying resentment to his father for making him look like that but if he just put some clothes over the top it wouldn't be as much of an eyesore.
“At least you're back to your old self,” Five told him. “The rest of us feel like someone injected motor oil in our veins.”
“I feel great, I did the school run without my inhaler which I haven't been able to do since having kids,” Lillith said, smiling, although most people in the room didn't have the energy to show they were happy for her.
